Hi Bappa Ray! Thank you for posting this wonderful documentary. Me and my wife are from Kullu Himachal Pradesh are living in New Zealand now. We have taken this challenge to help the Himalayan Tradition and Craftsmen. We have started a business which will help the craftsmen and the gaddi's to live a better and happier lives. Our Purpose is to spread the Traditional Art and Culture and to reinvest in providing better opportunites for our craftsmen and our Communities. We also want to empower the people in our region to get the maximum benefit of the hardwork they do. It takes alot of hardwork to harvest the wool and make the product. People don't value and appreciate the human effort involved and pay peanuts to these people and sell the same product at a very high price. These traders make the maximum profit and prosper financially on the efforts of these simple and humble people. We want to empower these people to create a change for their community and keep the tradition alive. The western education leads us to slavery and nothing else. We need to realise our culture and heritage is our strenght. We are starting our business with a hope to create a wave of change. I am going to post this video on our website and share it with everyone to spread awareness. Thank you once again. Regards, Prayag Mahant
I'm literally in tears and I'm not even Himachali. But I'm an Indian and love what our age old culture has to offer. Andto see it getting depleted and diminish is like experiencing a slow painful death. In my heart of hearts I want to become a farmer someday and move away from this plastic world that we call home.
An amazing informative documentary. Detailing voice. Beautifully captured. You've penetrated the grassroots of #Gaddi Life and Living more than my imagination could do! Felt homelike!! Footnote: I've made a promise to my #Gaddi- friend to visit the same terrain with herd and you made it halfway easy!

Shruti Sood ....Hello, Shruti, I hit on the video bychance, having an amazing coverage & thereon your comment. It felt great to come across a seeker like you, and your penchant for the change which made it difficult to 'hold my horses.' I've been always admired by the rich culture & mystic nature of Our Himachal. It would be a great honour to be intouch with a like-minded person like you.
