डॉक्यूमेंट्री की जितनी प्रशंसा करो उतनी ही कम है बहुत ही शानदार तरीके से आपने डॉक्यूमेंट्री बनाई है हमें हिमाचल प्रदेश की जनजाति को विस्तार से जानने का मौका मिला इसके लिए पूरी टीम को बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद मैं राजस्थान से हूं 1 जून से 10 जून के बीच हिमाचल प्रदेश आया और ग्रामीण संस्कृति को जानना चाहता था पर मौका नहीं मिल पाया पर आप की डॉक्यूमेंट्री ने ग्रामीण जीवन के बारे में और जिज्ञासा पैदा कर दी l धन्यवाद

I have a concern,everyone is praising gaddi culture and shepherds but no one is ready to carry it on!! No one wants to become shepherd these dyas!! In this documentary I like the view and background music!!!

It has been most probably one and only venerable, ancient and primatial Occupation they are still practising! as old as before the civilization grow !! time by time many cultures , religions , castes , customs , traditions etc. born within them ! erstwhile they were purely NOMADIC in nature and this Nomadism leads sepration of groups settled in different regions later with different identity and titles as well as distinguish achievement in the form of cultural social and economical But most common traditions customs and culture even dressing and language and worship of the same deity are still existing more over I am proud to be that my ancestor have been also a part of that venerable credo!! I love all the nomadic and tribal communities especially the Gaddis and Bakarwals and also their customs, traditions, culture and their tribal dialects. I heartily pray and writhe to see Himachali Gaddis people sustain and survive their cultural heritage, ancestral identity and the loveliest handicrafts....❤ Please preserve your culture before it vanishes. 🙏
Inspite of this being one of the most Eco friendly life style with almost negative carbon footprints, this culture is vanishing with time. Most Shepherds are not continuing the family occupation mostly because of
° No support for Govt.
° Extremely Hard life in high altitudes of Himalayas.
° Govt not allowing new licences for this occupation anymore
° Not enough earnings inspite of such hard and dangerous work conditions
° Theft and Wildlife attack on livestock
° Cheaper farm meat in available in market which is not healthy option
° Lack of Medical services for the Livestock and Gaddis.
° Earlier a lot of thier live stock was also sold for Ritual sacrifices which is banned now
Reasons for them giving up Gaddi Life are endless while just couple of reasons to stick back to such extreme lifestyle. They are backbones of Himalayan Eco system as thier live stock provides natural fertilizer for grazing meadows and alpine jungles of Himalayas. We salute thier way of life. 🙏
