This car show was great,...And I wanted to mention , one veteran to another have a good veterans day....I've told you before that my era of veterans did not receive any recognition when we came home.(1971). It's nice to see that change. Keep up the good work Mike. Thank's Wayne
Thanks Mike, I really appreciate your videos I'm stuck up here in the North West, Although I originally hail from Pasadena, Specifically Hastings ranch. FYI, The green 55 nomad was not a Gasser, But rather an exhibition car, capable of, full quarter mile wheelies, right along the lines of the Little red wagon.
Will miss Irrwindale. We moved to Valinda, CA near Temple & Azusa from 1963 to 1974. Graduated from Workman High in 1973. I remember you could here the Dragsters echo off the mountains from Irwindale. Long live the Gassers!
Wow. Larry Knapp´s Stampede Mustang still alive. Never thought I´d see that awsome car again. Thanks ever so much for covering the carshows. You rock Mike. Favourite car this time was the beige 55/56 Ford Customline that just passed the camera. It had the right stance I think.
Beautiful rides, Mike thx for filming. Salute to one veteran to another for Veterans Day. I understand on reproduction parts not fitting. Seems you have to modify them to get them to fit right! Irwindale RIP!
The Hemi Sattelite @ 4:00 ... The Chevy Suburban Travel-all??? - Turquoise and White, of course- @20:00 - The Sport Fury @ 44:00 ... And special mention to that Green Ranchero sporting some Robert Crumb.... Thanks, mike!
As an Australian in Australia everyone for my first 50 years wanted to be just like the Americans. The levis, the cars, the music and the entire car culture. I hope the big californian swing to the red team the car culture can continue. I know 1 thing for sure.Fuel will be a lot cheaper. Mike can drive that big block square body a lot more. Great show mate. Shame the track is no longer. What about that Rambler wagon gasser...mannnnnn It has wings like the car bat fink drove with karate in the 60s cartoon
You mentioned a garbage truck fire. In australia people are throwing old junk with rechargable batteries still in the toy or whatever. Garbage truck picks up the garbage, the batteries start a fire in the garbage and the entire load must be dumped right away or the truck burns down. Sometimes the garbage has to be dumped on a freeway or a parking lot as fast as possible. These Batteries are a real problem and houses are burning down also while charging these things

Yes. The engine is in the back.
If I recall correctly the 55 nomad was called Chevado, A blending of the Chevy with the tornado engine transaxle.

Once again thanks for the video. Pray for a miracle that Irwindale escapes the latest attempt to wipe it out>
It would be incredible if it gets saved.

Hello Mike !
Hi
You mentioned a garbage truck fire.
In australia people are throwing old junk with rechargable batteries still in the toy or whatever. Garbage truck picks up the garbage, the batteries start a fire in the garbage and the entire load must be dumped right away or the truck burns down.
Sometimes the garbage has to be dumped on a freeway or a parking lot as fast as possible. These Batteries are a real problem and houses are burning down also while charging these things
You're supposed to recycle batteries here. Some stores have bins to put them in near the entrance.
What a great day.....
Perfect weather for an amazing event
👍😎👀
What will they do with the speedway after it closes?
Another Shopping Mall....... Just what we need.... 😟😟
Outlet mall and an office park.
My condolences on losing a great historical track.
I don’t think we’ll ever see a replacement
Be missing long Beach, be showing at community chevrolet in Burbank tomorrow
Couldn't make it to Burbank. Had camera issues that slowed me down at LB. At least my new camera is set up now.
Losing another drag strip. How sad!
This one really hits since I’ve attended so many events there
