I’m afraid not, no green jackets in this house 😉 left school at 16 went straight into golf. I qualified as a PGA Professional in 1994 and back then there wasn’t any masters degrees etc . It’s just over 25 years of “on the job learning” and lots of courses taken.
Hi Matt, another gem! Please can you share the 10 drill sequence you were talking about at the beginning? Also what type of golf balls you hitting, sounds like foam? Thanks
Thank you 🙏 I’ll have to do a separate video and explain them. Yes they are just sponge balls I use them sometimes when I’m working on my game so I’m not worried about distance etc
Great advice 7 mins 20 second into this clip for anyone that working on this arms/wrists or doing the slit grip drill / or maybe a ice hockey slap shot ? As I’ve said before brilliant Matt .
This is quite common either your starting the downswing by throwing your right shoulder and hips at the ball causing you to swing “over the top” or your rolling the wrists through impact instead of the throw release. I’ve done a video on the release go check it out👍
It’s a feel vs real. You’re definitely forcing the release too soon and casting the club if the ball is going too high. You need to work on timing the release eg delay the throw for a little longer. I’ve done a video for you which I will release as soon as I’ve edited it 👍
Rotten lesson -- tell people to TURN THEIR KNUCKLES DOWN -- that tip works better than feeling the "weight" of the club and letting it release. Bad golfers can't feel the weight -- just tell them when they turn they need to square the club up and knuckles down does this.
I Matt have you got your master’s

is this a drill....or are we actually suppose to swing the club like this when we play? When I do, my ball goes very high and not very far.
