I’m telling you right now, I had no expectations for this team going into the year. But these Sabres have been fun to watch. I don’t care if we win or lose, every game we have played this year the effort level has been amazing and you can just tell that these players want to play for Buffalo and are proud to. Watching this as the season draws to a close, and man, does Don Granato have them on the right path. For the first time in I don't know how long, I don't want the season to end. But at the same time, I'm so looking forward to next year.

Granato has the Sabres playing as a team, and not just a collection of individuals. I am so excited about the potential for success next season when all the younger talent coming up in goal (U.P.L., Devon Levi), defense (Power, Johnson) and forward (Quinn, Rosen, Peterka) compliment the young talent already there. With the existing group of veterans (Thompson, Okposo, Skinner) here already, all Kevin Adams has to do is find those two or three missing players to fill the roster with the right mix that will (finally!) get Buffalo back into the playoffs.

Adams is doing a good job and is a very smart guy. It's fun watching again. Win or lose the boys seem to be having fun and playing a full 60 minutes that's all I can ask as a fan. The future looks bright!!!
