Hi Martin, As usual a very comprehensive step by step process for a full decon with chemicals from a very good brand that I used extensively in the past but as you know I am a disciple of the M & K way these days. A way of dealing with fallout that I have picked up recently from some of the guys is to layer a snow foam on top of it to let it work that bit longer and it aids the removal process in my opinion but I see the merit of working it in with a mitt as in essence that is what I do in a smaller scale on my wheels. I will be down your way in a couple of weeks to dog sit for my sister near Hampton Court. I have not visited London since the Olympics and this year I will have visited twice in two weeks. I am really looking forward to a week of sunshine and warmth as it has been in short supply up here this summer. Looking forward to the next stage of this process.
@@johnbrown3951 you will enjoy the next video John as it’s totally M&K but with a little drama. Not sure the weather has been much different down here mate. It seems to have been a wet and very cool spring and summer so far. We were lucky with the weather last week down in Devon but soaked up the sun in Cyprus the previous week
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer What a jet set lifestyle you TH-camr's live. You have me intrigued re the drama but looking forward to the M&K products being highlighted.
We've just come down from Huddersfield to St Albans John, to visit the daughter, and it's absolutely lashed it down non stop so far!😢 Hoping it improves soon 😉
Hi Martin. Tar remover as part of the pre-wash was an interesting move Martin... Certainly helped! Do you think though that you eneded up using more product? Less? Or no noticabel difference?? Great video as usual mate, always love seeing new methods 👍🏼👍🏼
To be honest Mark, I was hoping for better results from the initial application. Probably used more product & unless its left to dwell longer before the prewash then not sure its worth it mate
I always enjoy your videos, Martin and no exception here. Never thought to use T&G as a pre-wash chemical, seems like a good idea but, i wonder if it is neutralised by the latterly applied prewash, hence the need for another round of the chemical... I'm going to try this out next time that I decon a car. The car looked fantastic though and, 1400 miles, that's brilliant for ykur daughter, many years of motoring ahead. All the best, Martin.
@@decker0373 thanks Lee, I think this approach would work better if I let the t&g longer dwell time before the pre wash but I didn’t want it to dry, I guess you use more product this way without much benefit . I’m glad I tried it but not convinced it’s the way forward for me
Great work as usual Martin. You can always count on Garage therapy zero range to prepare your car for the next step . Looking forward to the next video 👍
Thank you, yep a very nice purchase. I like to use other products as well. I would say I currently have 4 favourite brands but also like to try others as well
Great video Martin. From my experience you will find the most tar on the inside of the rear doors. Due to their overlapping design a lot of dirt accumulates on the inside of the doors and under the rubber strip across the sill.
Nice informative video Martin 👍 just ordered myself 5 litres of the version 3 iron oxide garage therapy 👌👍 just a thought would you use your snow foam lance to apply your shampoo i do much easier i just rinse the wash pad after every panel just 1 rinse bucket 🤔 keep up the good work Martin 👍👌🙋♂️🙋♂️
The I have used that method before in fact I,m now scratching my head to think if I have a video on it. You do need a quality shampoo that will dwell. what shampoo do you favour?
Hi Martin, big fan of the channel, been watching since near the beginnning! Personally, pre wash, snow, contact wash, tar and glue (soak the whole car in it as youll find tap spots you didnt know were there start to run, then fallout remover, keep it wet, mist it with the gun from a distance if it starts to dry out. give it atleast 5 mins, then snow, dwell, rinse. complete and most efficent process.
Nice work. Decon is such a versatile product. If I were a pro car detailer, I'd run a side business doing wheelie bins and only use Decon! Great product. Must try their Tar remover as well. Thanks again and looking forward to seeing Pure in action
Lovely work Martin. Was thinking of a similar approach to a new car, from the dealership, prior to applying some protection, possibly Fusso topped with Mirrorshine.
Another really good video from you as usual with lots of explanation & detail for us all. Looking forward to next part to see what you've decided to use for prorection. Keep up the good work, but remember to enjoy yourself. You clearly take a lot of pride in what you do, kind regards
