A lot of stuff happens in the final season and it was definitely rushed. However, if they had shown what John says to Nolan, I would have been satisfied. Part 32 was my favorite and so many people hate it.
My original take on the series, posted on another "review". Season 3 was a DISASTER. The writing was lazy and sloppy. There were problems with continuity. I thought Seasons 1 and 2 were amazing and couldn't wait for this season to begin. But I was disappointed. It kind of reminded me of "Dexter" and how that series just deteriorated as time went by. But anyway, about Bloodline, there are a couple of observations I want to share with you: 1- Spacek carried the show. Her acting was amazing throughout. 2- Roy "conveniently" dying of a heart attack in the hospital, of all places, was BRUTAL WRITING. 3- Ozzie suddenly changing his personality without any exposition was sloppy. If they were pressed for time, then they shouldn't have started this new thread. Him blowing his own head off was also lazy writing and out of character. 4- Danny showing up with that RIDICULOUS HAIRCUT showed sloppy continuity. 5- The whole Cuban "angle" was useless and not very believable. Those guys were nothing like the typical Cuban male prevalent in Cuba. They were more like Cubans who had been in the States for years. 6- Meg bailing to California was a copout. Her welcoming reaction towards John when he went to find her was inconsistent. She wanted nothing to do with the family, he had to find out on his own where she was, yet she didn't even react when he showed up. 7- The baptism scene was a blatant rip-off of "The Godfather". 8- Even the killing of Marcos was kind of lazy. Google the term: "deus ex machina". You will find this throughout the series. It is a characteristic of lazy and uncreative writing. 9- The ancillary plots and characters took the story NOWHERE. When you introduce characters and sub-plots, their purpose is to propel the story. John's kids, Danny's kid, Danny's half-sister, Chelsea, John's friends from Boston, etc. 10- The separation of John and his wife came out of nowhere and wasn't explained. 11- John suddenly not running for sheriff is never addressed. 12- John's "diving accident" episode was a waste. It reminded me of the "fly" episode in "Breaking Bad". (Although "Breaking Bad" was amazing. Anyway, those were just a few observations off the top of my head. Season 3 completely destroyed what Seasons 1 and 2 started. It has now gone the way of "Dexter" and "Game of Thrones". I wonder how some of these writers, show runners and directors continue to get jobs. Oh well, that's the current state of Hollywood.
John Calvo This comment was copied and pasted from another video. Can't remember if they were both you or not, but either way, I agree with you completely.
Tyler Disdier--Yeah that was me. I really don't have much time to be writing every time I need to make a point, so when I saw several "reviews" of Bloodline surfacing, I just copied and pasted my original comment. No biggie...
I pretty much agree with all those points. There were just so many rushed things this season. So many loose ends. Its a damn shame this coulda gone on for at least 4 season's. I can almost not blame things for this season being so poorly executed considering they had to finish it prematurely
Glad to have found this. Nice to see some Bloodline love. My wife and I LOVE this show and will miss it. We were also left underwhelmed by the Season 3 final. It is full of great, great moments, but not the send-off the show deserved. Nice review.
Season 3 had me all screwed up. Season 1 & 2 were great for me. It takes 1/2 way into season one (really the end) to go, "holy crap! Did that just happen!"
Totally agree! If they knew they had only this season, why on earth spend sooooo much time looking at Ozzie?? Roy Gilbert? No explanations! The whole cuban stuff for what? So the whole point of tyhe show was to point out that Kevin couldn't be saved from his own idiocy? We kinda knewthat! I dunno... they could've been more selective, they could've stuck to the original issues, not open up more and more loose ends... i enjoyed watching anyways, it's an amazing production and fantastic cast... the story deserved way better
It definitely felt rushed and there were a lot of unanswered questions like with Ozzy and Nolan. That while trial thing was pointless I think. If there was 5 seasons then they would've been able to explain more. Then all of a sudden Roy Gilbert dies? I also hated that one episode with the dreaming of flashbacks they basically stood from the sopranos episode where Tony was in a coma. I didn't know it was only three seasons till today when I finished it and I was like "that's the ending"?
They never bought up the fact that when Marco was murdered, he had been dead 60 to 90 minutes before Kevin got there. Wasn't that obvious to everyone in the audience? So why didn't Kevins' lawyer point that out?
i been waiting and waiting for season 3...i watched as soon as became available .....so disappointed in it...its too bad the had to ruin a great show like that!
Its not entirely their fault though the series just didnt get the attention it deserved so they probably changed things, I loved this season except the last 2 episodes I really waited to get Eric released and the Rayburns go to jail or something. Sad for Kevin though, John is the one who deserved to go to jail. But yeah the ending sucked
did you notice the wig on Danny periodically ...wasnt wig in flashbacks that we already saw in seasons 1 and 2...but any new footage was a wig. And Ozzy killing himself...ridiculous eh?
I think they didn't know what to do after they kill Danny it's when the show wasn't good anymore having Danny in the show like he's dead now didn't make sense
lamision316 I believe having Danny dead hurt the series but john character was just as fascinating season 2 was really good n Danny as a ghost haunting john conscious was to me epic
I don't know he's dead was shocking to me and when Dannys kid show up I though to my self this is gonna be good, but when I see Danny again I wasn't feeling it anymore
Season 1 was so awesome, Danny was a fantastic character, but I agree with you on season 3, the last two episodes were so bad and confusing/depressing and ending felt so rushed
I was very disappointed that Netflix ended this series, it's probably the best series on Netflix or television. I believe season 3 is a rush to conclude all the plots and think that if given the chance to properly finish the series, it would have been better.
What happened with the script? Bad move to bring Danny back at the end threatening he wasn’t through. Seriously everyone else’s crimes overshadowed his.
Amazing show (till the last few eps). Last episode is a disgrace. I noticed one of the writers didn’t even put his name on it. It is literally the best example of great show:horrible ending ratio I can think of. PS when it first came out with season 1-2 people def were watching it. It reminds me (story-wise) VERY much of A Simple Plan. Which itself borrows heavily from Fargo. But it’s so well made that I can’t think of the Florida Keyes without thinking of this show. PS 6 seasons!?!? How? After the first betrayal it’s obvious where it goes from there, and there are only 4 (3) siblings. It should have gone on one more season and actually wrapped up with the quality of the first episode. There was obviously a lot of quality work put into this show so I dunno how they could just kill it like that.
I can't believe the show is over after Season 3, so many questions left unknown. And for the record, episode 9 was terrible. It was a waste of 45 minutes and could have been skipped entirely.
jjosifovic story lines were amazing. ...you had the marina real estate takeover Meg was working on.....then you had the sheriff campaign that could've carried the show by itself. ...like what idiot decided to cancel this series and just nuke season 3??? unbelievable.
This season was one of the worst I can remember from a once promising show. With a good creative team and writers, and with this stellar cast, there is still no excuse for this being this terrible. You have ten episodes - come up with something quality. Just a mess in every direction. Honestly shocked how bad this was. 10 hours never getting back.
I couldn't agree more with you!!! They should have just ended it at Season one! I loved season 1! It was realistic. The second to last episode of season 3 I was so thrown off and was at that point just watching it to see the outcome. Anyone who hasn't watched Bloodline watch season 1 and maybe 2 but 3 is a waste of your time😞
A lot of stuff happens in the final season and it was definitely rushed. However, if they had shown what John says to Nolan, I would have been satisfied. Part 32 was my favorite and so many people hate it.

The secret kid of Sally's and the lady who was involved with Danny somehow who was in the car with Nolan..didn't make sense
@@labradoriteatheart Whoever said Chelsea was Danny's half-sister?
They had 10 hours to complete the story, they had time.
I was amazed at how they wrote linda cardellini out of the show for the most part
Glad to have found this. Nice to see some Bloodline love. My wife and I LOVE this show and will miss it. We were also left underwhelmed by the Season 3 final. It is full of great, great moments, but not the send-off the show deserved. Nice review.
Andrew Hanke thank u, this show is so awesome n they had to cut it short
It is literally the worst great show:horrible ending ratio I can think of
Season 3 had me all screwed up. Season 1 & 2 were great for me. It takes 1/2 way into season one (really the end) to go, "holy crap! Did that just happen!"
Mike Hog A Nator every since that major time jump to season 3 the show lost itself but thank the state of Florida for why the show ended early
Totally agree! If they knew they had only this season, why on earth spend sooooo much time looking at Ozzie?? Roy Gilbert? No explanations! The whole cuban stuff for what? Melisa Vargas totally agree
I just finished the 3 seasons of Bloodline and what a crazy well written show but I wished there were more seasons and there was more . Oh well 😔
Sandy Valentin it’s such an underrated show definitely wish for more seasons

it deserved at least two more seasons to wrap up such an intriguing storylines
@@jjosifovic they left so many unanswered questions and you can definitely tell it was rushed.
Watching episode 9 right now and it's trippin me out. I feel like I'm in a bad dream. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!
David James i just stop trying to make sense of it, my brain nearly died trying to figure that episode out
jjosifovic same
I had a background acting role in season 3, episode 4. At the boatyard & at the church for the baptism. Amazing experience!!
Foxman Music I bet it was a blast to be there
@@jjosifovic I had the time of my life! Norbert Leo Butz (Kevin Rayburn) was very cool and down to Earth. Sissy Spacek too.
Foxman Music too bad the show ended two seasons early
They never bought up the fact that when Marco was murdered, he had been dead 60 to 90 minutes before Kevin got there. Wasn't that obvious to everyone in the audience? So why didn't Kevins' lawyer point that out?
i wax so confused when john kept having a groundhog day and when the boston cop came
such a great show destroyed by its rushed ending.
i been waiting and waiting for season 3...i watched as soon as became available .....so disappointed in it...its too bad the had to ruin a great show like that!
so true

season's 3 ending made me kinda anxious , the end was depressing. it could've another ending thow :/, dommage.
They rushed the ending and ruined it. They needed at least 2 more episodes to explain the past secrets. Such a shame.
did you notice the wig on Danny periodically ...wasnt wig in flashbacks that we already saw in seasons 1 and 2...but any new footage was a wig.
And Ozzy killing himself...ridiculous eh?
like in space of 10 seconds...wig and no wig and back to wig! lol
hated the wig, hated nolan mother was gone, hated ozzy death, and hated nolan and john didnt talk
jjosifovic yep...very disappointed ...thanks for ur video.!
ur welcome
Great job of Recapping season 3....I agree with every point
Jungle Brother thanks

rmikolak definitely the weakest
AGREE, FUCKING WASTE OF TIME DUDE FUCK STUPID AS SHIT
Omg yes!! Was SO disappointed 😔
Kyle Chandler shows his darker side in the 3 season. Mirrors his brother's Danny's behavior. Very interesting love the show.
Series 411Review it's a great show
I agree we are addicted to it.
Kevin could very well be Roy's son.
