Jesus people, this is a Winchester Model 94AE (1894 Angle Eject). AE we’re designed to eject spent casings away from a scope that could now be more easily mounted. The non AE models make it difficult if not impossible to mount a scope. And MY OPINION ONLY, a 94 in .357 is ridiculous when the 1892 exists. For longer cartridges, sure, but why anyone thought this was a good idea puzzles me assuming the 1892 was an option.
That's not an 1873! It's a new 1892. For all you fellas that say it's a 94, you're wrong. The 94 winchester was never chambered in 357 mag . Only the newer model 92's were.

It's an 1894 model, you can tell by the way the bottom of the mechanism housing hinges downward when you cycle the lever
How do you suppose they made such an egregious misidentification!😊

They make a 1873 in 357 magnum, look it up. She also confirmed that in a reply

ItS a 1894, made after 1992 when the crossbolt safety was incorporated in the design. And seems to have the angle eject feature as well.
