He was awarded National Award for his film "Bettada Hoovu".. His film "Abachurina post office" won National award( Rajatha kamala award). Before that he has directed two Bengali films, "Apur samsar and " Prather panchali" under the guidance of the great Bengali film Director Shri Sathyajith Rai, won Inter national award.❤
