    Simon can you do this using an acoustic drum kit hooked up to the ead10? Or do you need the electronic drums to set up multi shots?

      Yes, it’s the first thing I mention in the “What you will need” section. Rec’n’Share works with EAD, DTX402, DTX6, DTX8 and DTX10 so any of those can be used. Check out 0:22

    How do you chose which angle/camera for certain parts in the song for example? For example have primary camera filming the verses but if you wanted a different angle for chorus or whatever, how do you go about that?

      If you watch the video, it's all done in the editing software. You send all the footage from all the multiple cameras into the software, then when it is on the computer screen, you choose where you want the edits. Depending on the software, you 'cut' the 'film' when you want to change, and swap to another camera's footage. It might be an idea to look at some basic video editing software videos on TH-cam to get an idea of how this is done.

    Hi Simon, great video as always.
    I am having some problem edditing my XP125SD-X pad. Some sort of hotspot issue
    The center of the snare is currently much louder than the outer zone near the rim. Even if I hit with max velocity near the rim it doesn't get as loud as the center (in fact is way quieter).
    I reverted the pad to it's original settings with no positive results. How can I "fix" this?

    • @edruminfo
      @edruminfo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Guilherme. OK, thats not hot spotting - thats something else. The centre isn't actually much louder - its that the rim is incredibly quiet. Have you done a full factory reset or just put it back to where it was before to the best of your knowledge? The rim has a separate sensor and you can independently adjust the head or rim sensor volume (to compensate for home made pads). Try this - Menu / Trigger / Pad Type / H/R Balance. Check this is 0 or starts with 'R'. If it starts with 'H' then change it. Check that RimGain is +5 or more. Does that help?

      Thank you for the imediate feedback.
      I tried the factory reset you the current settings:
      Gain 18
      Sensitivity 8
      Rejc. Time 5ms
      Min level 1
      Max level 100
      Min velocity 1
      Mas velocity 127
      Wait time 4
      RimGain 35
      H/R balance R30
      Tried positional sensing ON and OFF
      Same results.
      The snare and rim sounds are fine for my taste but the fact is I am not satisfied with the snare loudness decreasing as the hits approaches the rim.
      Example:
      If I apply a low velocity (low energy) hit on the center and the yamaha logo (near the rim) I get differents sounds (of course) with relatively same loudness (intensity).
      If I apply a high velocity (high energy) hit on the center and the yamaha logo (near the rim) I get differents sounds (of course) with different loudness (intensity), the outer zone being way quieter. Exception: the outer zone gets loud only when I hit with great velocity using the drumstick tip and shouder simultaneously.
      If possible I wish I could level the snare pad all around for a future application. Guess I will try messing with the velocity curves now.
      The linear is great for studying rudiments by the way.
      Thanks for the help, not only this time but overall. The DTX drums are a really great product (I am loving it) and you by far the best consultant. 😁

      @@guilhermecaran3363 Hi Guilherme. Can you just check that the pad type is correct. It should be XP-125SD-X but it sounds to me like you have it set to one of the other XP pads with the switch rims.

    Greetings, Simon. I have followed your tutorial till downloading the DaVinci editor, but I came to an issue. I aligned all my clips, and did everything I wanted to, but since I'm new to editing, I don't know how to make it so that a clip appears for lets say.. 7 seconds, then another one for 2. i really would need your help, DaVinci customer support are not respoding. Thank you.

      Theres LOADS of really good videos that will show you how to use the basics of Resolve on TH-cam - much better than I could. If you think that you will use Resolve then it is worth investing some time learning how to use the basics. Alternatively have a look at whatever free video editor came with your computer, though it won't be as powerful as Resolve.

    Does Rec'n'Share work with a DTX Multi 12?

    • @edruminfo
      @edruminfo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m afraid not as the app needs usb/audio to work and the M12 doesn’t have usb/audio.

    • @bpivr
      @bpivr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@edruminfo Thanks for answering. One more question - would this mean it would work if you ran the audio from the M12 through a USB audio interface into the phone?

    • @edruminfo
      @edruminfo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bpivr I’m afraid not. The app will only work with ‘associated devices’, not just any devices. That wont work I’m afraid.

    • @edruminfo
      @edruminfo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bpivr I'm afraid not. The app will only work with particular devices - you cant fool it into thinking the M12 is something else I'm afraid. The only devices that Rec'n'share will work with (at the moment) are the DTXpro, DTXproX, (so the DTX6, 8 and 10 kits) DTX402 and the EAD.

    Do you mean Rec n Share can control external cameras?

    • @edruminfo
      @edruminfo  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, what I'm showing you is how to film on multiple cameras and then combine them on a really good (with a free version) video editor - DaVinci Resolve - so you can combine multiple shots. Most people just think you are limited to one angle, so I wanted to show that multiple angles are easy, if you know what to do, and have multiple cameras.
