That was a nice intro to Black Dragon. Do you think it will improve in size with the plant maturing more.

Yes, it will get larger as the plant matures. It is a slower growing variety and I'd rather eat a fruit from one of Paul Thompson's hybrids.

If this is the first fruit off the plant I wonder if the flavour would improve in the second year/season as sometimes happens with other varieties.

It should be black before harvest, you picked it early
