- This is the NEW FMS FCX10. A 1/10 Scale K5 Chevy Blazer. Locking Diffs, 2 speed, Selectable Dig/Fwd/4wd, portal axles and more! It's clearly taken inspiration from the Traxxas TRX4, but it is not a clone. It may well cancel the TRX4... who knows!

I know that feeling, not the bit about the wife though. I bought a couple vintage cars to rescue lately, but I really should get another handset to farm out some of my existing cars to, rather than having a big number of them on just one.

nice truck and video, traxxas should sell bit better lexan bodies, those w no windows and less details for the same price are the reason people start looking for alternatives😂😂

I have many smaller scale crawlers and have yet to get a 1/10 scale. Was looking into TRX4s but after this release I think I’m sticking with FMS for my first 1/10 scale rig.

@@DidntaskbudTraxxas is partly rehashed old ideas and mostly lawyers and lawsuits. No self-respecting hobbyist that has been paying attention buys anything from Traxxas. They will not stop until they are the only manufacturer in the business. I don’t know of any other RC companies where the Supreme Court stepped in to curb their BS.
FMS are great at taking something good and making it better for cheaper price and that’s what keeps people in the hobby. Thanks Philly 💯👍…
Ordered one a few hours ago. The freebies are lights, fenders and camper shell and they say they are limited while supplies last.
They said that about the front bumper and roof rack on the FCX24 but I ordered mine quite a while after they had come out and it still came with them.

I wouldn't say that. I was going to get a TRX4M K10 but my local shop sold out of the ones they had the day previous when I went back with the money. After looking online I found the FCX24 K5 and decided it was a better buy with the functions and bought one. I love it! Definitely want to get the orange/white 1/10 to match the FCX24!

If they bring out a long bed truck version it would be a real winner. Print a sticker for the hood and cut a false door in the side of the bed and bam!

Nice review. I don't think the "dig" function is gimmicky at all. Many real crawlers are set up this way...Including MORR's off road wrecker.

This is a great review. It's an impressive crawler. I don't know much about crawling, but the dig function seem to be very practical in tight turns. When you consider the conditions it performed well. All the features it includes is outstanding. It might be interesting to do a test over a few months to test its long term durability.

As always another fun video sir. One fail, imo, on an otherwise brilliant model, would be closing off the cabin comaprtment making it into a truck. I'd have to cut that out. But my golly, that is an incredible piece of kit! I'm not into the hobby, however, I enjoy a few of y'alls RC channels, but this one has really got me. Gotta say that one is a beaut!
That looks amazing. The ultimate in the end for me would be the addition of a quieter meshing gears from the manufacturer.

I like the idea of dial on demand drag brake. I am not crazy about the body and needing to drill it for the topper, but other than that it seems to be a winner. It's 129 USD cheaper than my SCX10III and loaded with stuff I'd love to have on my Axial. I was hoping it would have part commonality with the other 10th scale FMS trucks so I could incorporate some of those featured into the older ones I already have, but it doesn't seem so.
Problem I've got with FMS is that their customer service is absolutely trash. I never had a reply to a single email....

Think I need one of these my local jungle hiking track here in Malaysia has some great rock crawling sections this might be a good one.
lol, its funny how you always use the plastic hand to show things but in this case where there are labels to be careful with metal objects because of the lights connection you use a metal stick :)
This does look a superb truck, and yes better suited to trails but you can still have tons of fun on decent trail driving, looks well made and could well be well priced for the spec, Phil you did the video proud mate

Cool vid. FMS really have come along as a manufacturer. Not that they were ever bad though.
Just got mine today. And the body on mine unfortunately looks all to familiar with your broken orange body. I contacted the Amazon store I bought it through and they're sending me a new one, but they're out of the orange and sending me the brown. Fine by me, that was my second choice anyway! The broken body is still very functional, so shelf queen body and trail body indeed!
With the receiver and ESC being an all in 1 unit wonder if it would be more trouble than it’s worth to install a hobby wing fusion pro in it

Not a ratchet strap, a banding strap. Those plastic ones they use for shipping multiple boxes together so they don't come apart.

Seen some people mod their Fcx24s light kits like this 1:10. Would love the Fcx24s come out of the box like this too. I will mod mine this month, as I am fed up with all the cable salad (as we say in german) 😂
I'm surprised the roll bar lights can't be made to function. You can buy the light kit to make the FCX24 version function. I'm also a hater of turn signals! Just make them come on solid with the headlights as running lights!

So I am all about that thing. It just doesn’t cancel the trx4, but the Scx10 with the dig. But my ONLY issue with it is, if I want to do a motor/esc swap, then I’m assuming I would have to switch to an aftermarket remote, and eliminate the functionality of things like turning the drag break up and down via the remote? Which I love that feature, but I don’t keep anything stock.
Hobbywing 1080g2 esc has adjustable on the fly drag brake..I have them on both my trx4m high trails..on the Ford I have it paired with a radiolink rc6gs transmitter and my Chevy is paired with flysky noble nb4. I can adjust the drag brake with vr knob..If you get a flysky receiver maybe you can keep the stock transmitter

May have to add an orange one to put beside my fcx24 k5! Looks like in performs well!
It looks sharp....ish. its a great truck for the money.
However that spot in the front under the grill.....no holes, no contour. Just flat and bright orange.......looks like the bumper could go up or the body could drop slightly, and it wouldn't look like a refrigerator.
Its like the jconcepts bodys......all the details are there, but the proportions are all slightly off. It looks good enough, but if the proportions were scaled up the talegate would be 3 1/2 feet tall from the bumper to the glass.... and the grill looks tiny like it should be 10mm taller.
Im being nitpicky at this point. But with so many options for more scale accurate bodies......the price is going to have to be on point.

It's the Swiss Army Knife of trail/scaler/crawlers. At that price, I'm going to have to get all three colors. I don't want to be labeled a racist for getting only one of the colors. I mean, you never know how sensitive people are nowadays. I could get canceled from Axial Fest or Proline By the Fire. I got to keep the diversity in my fleet. Not a joke! Asufutimaehaehfutbw...

For an RTR this is a very impressive car. And it lo - looks really cute. Question only time can really answer is how robust all those features will be. The suspension seems to work really well - a very good balance for tracking and crawling it would seem. I suppose it is going to be around 450€ once it hist the old continent.
EDIT: Yeah, the tires obviously needed to be upgraded for more grip.

That never happens in rc world we grow together by trial and error to get the best rcs at the lowest prices . One company who was one of the pioneers turned coat after doing the same things . In doing this they drove many companies out of business and slowed advances in technology all while ultimately controlling prices of EVERY. Rc you buy . Only these overseas companies can ignore the power this company holds in the industry.
I have been using magnets for years for my rc's that have lights on the body. On my 10th scale and bigger anyway. Anything smaller gets to be a pain because of the limited space.
What color was the topper for the black truck? did you have to paint it? When I first saw your posts on Facebook of the fully blacked out truck I knew I had to copy it, It looks so good! I 100% agree about the indicators, auto blinking while turning is dumb, also I believe the light on the fender is a marker light and not a indicator.
Topper was Black. I went out and bought some gloss black to paint it… only to then realise it was already black haha

The rear dig function is not gimmicky at all. I saw this function pre-installed in the first kyosho crawler 14 years ago. The dig function can save you a lot of tipovers in very critical and very tight turns if you want to drive like a real crawl trail truck. Also, you can use the dig function as a handbrake to play in slippery surfaces😉. I like this model. It seems that it is one of the most complete rc models for an rtr. Very, very good job from FMS 🤌🤌.
...I love the fms l. I have a little fleet of the smaller cars and I'll buy this one. But after 3 years trx4 without bigger issues, I say it's even one of the best, if it's not the best.

Traxxas was already cancelled and left in the dust by Absima/Yikong. Now FMS comes to kick its butt further. Love it!
well i was looking at the blazer trx4 and to have it in canada it was pricey but i can get something similar for half the price if i go with this one and it seem to be quite good and still able te receive upgrade so thanks for the video i will save my money and go for the fms

Before everyone jumps on board, would you care to elaborate on the price as well as the parts availability? If the parts are hard to come by, then it will probably will be a Frankenstein rig. The parts look cheaply made from what I saw!! Just my opinion!! Please don't beat me up people. I'm not going to invest in the unknown. That's why it's called the comment section. I get what you're saying. Parts availability is touch and go with "off brands". FMS seems to be trying at least. Traxxas or Horizon will buy them out soon enough. That being said, most rigs are Frankenstein's, I'm building a rig that has a VS410 chassis, Element transmission/skid, Axial AR45 straight axles, TRX4 driveshafts, and RC4WD wheels. All the parts are takeoffs from other people's trucks. That's what makes the hobby fun for me.

I like FMS products, but this TRX4 style RC lacks the hardbody interior and details. It’s just a cheaper version of the TRX4, which I would never buy to begin with! lol I’m a little disappointed they went this route 🙁 I was hoping for another Toyota Land Cruiser!
You need to jump test this one with your lame ramp (😛). I saw someone doing it and it was hilarious. I don't know about skate park, but at least the BMX park. Send it!
Also, e6000:shoe good where the cracks are and it will help them not get worse.

Maybe it's just the new 1/18 Chevy of there's that allows you to turn off the indicators via the remote but I thought this one has the option as well, again might be the new 1/18 but don't know why they'd have the option on only one being that they're both brand new?
