Sir ur style is quite impressive in order to teach....although i have seen other videos on english learning but ur way of teaching quite understandable 👏👏👏👏
Alexandre5150 Hang up is when you’re are in a call whit your girlfriend for exemplo and you don’t wanna finish the call . So you ask her Hang up , but she tell you as well hang up, and you repeat some times hung up. LoL
I'm beginner , I think that PHRASAL VERBS are very used by Native English Speaker , we the rookies not pay attenttion to this phrasal verbs them are very important to improve all our ENGLISH
I learn something new in every video of yours. Thank you for curating and presenting awesome lessons. You are the English teacher I never had . Though this is a virtual class , I feel as if I'm actively participating in your class and thereby feel a sense of accomplishment :D
Phrasal verbs often have multiple meanings. You’re correct in saying that “to back someone up” means to support them in something, while “to back up” means to move back. “If you decide to quit your job, I’ll back you up.”
EXCELLENT VIDEO. PHRASAL VERBS ARE VERY IMPORTANT AND IF THE TEACHING OF THESE VERBS COME WITH EXAMPLES IN CONTEXT IS WONDERFUL. ALEX, YOU'VE BEEN TEACHING ENGLISH FOR A LONG TIME AND YOU ARE VERY GOOD AT IT.
#30 Phrasal verb commands 01. Back off 02. Back up 03. Carry on 04. Chill out 05. Come on 06. Come in 07. Come over 08. Dream on 09. Drink up 10. Gather around 11. Get back 12. Get in 13. Get off 14. Hi, Alex, my name is Natalya. This is the quote of the quiz for this lesson: ******************************* Trust me. You don’t want to mess with me. Back off. ******************************* In this case “back off” is a correct answer. But, in my opinion. it seems a little bit unreasonable, if one person says all these sentences. Can you explain me the context? Thank you.
просто ржу от твоих уроков, тебе нужно было назвать твои ролики забавный английский just laugh at your lessons, you had to name your videos funny english :)))
As a native English speaker this video is fascinating! Didn't know if it would be helpful to add that "back up" can also mean "wait, let's go back to what you/I were saying a second/minute ago." It's usually not just "back up" in that case, though, usually it's something like, "Wait, back up," if someone said something remarkable that you want to be the new topic of conversation (usually if you didn't notice they'd said it for a few moments - if you noticed immediately it would probably be, "Wait, hold up"). Alternately, if you're telling a story or giving a presentation on a topic, and you want to circle back to something you'd said earlier, you might say, "Let's back up for a moment." "Back up" and "backing up" is also common terminology for putting a car in reverse.
Hmm, I'd probably say "Hang on, hang on, hold on for a moment, please." and then either explain my request for them to be quiet and or say what I intend once I've been given space to talk. The "hold on" part relates to the current speaker whom you're trying to stop talking, you're asking them to "hold on" to whatever they're saying and wait.
Awesome video... but I havea question, is MOVE OVER considered a slang/ impolite expression in the English language? I'm asking this because ,according to Word Reference, move over means "mover el culo" in Spanish. In Colombia, it would be super impolite to say "mueve el culo ahora" for example. lol ...................... please help!!!!!
I’m happy to hear that! :) If you want more phrasal verbs, I have released a book that you might find useful. You can check it out here: www.englishalex.com/product-page/100-practical-english-phrasal-verbs-epub Have a nice day!

Very good this work my teacher
I have been wondering for forever.
What would be a polite way of "shut up"
I know about "lower voice" but it doesn't refer to stop talking?
Hmm, I'd probably say "Hang on, hang on, hold on for a moment, please." and then either explain my request for them to be quiet and or say what I intend once I've been given space to talk.
