It's the 113th class. The percussion section is woefully thin with only 5 members. But with 2nd grader Chippi back there, she's like another 4 or 5 percussionists, so no sweat.
No matter the year the quality is consistently high and the joy and the enthusiasm of the band just makes me smile. Hope everyone involved with this band never lets the wonder of KTHS band go out.

Just love Tachibana’s rendition of Fireball. Even though I’ve watched them performing this number countless times I still can’t make out the chants just before they yell ’Fireball’🤪😄
I don't think it's English, except for Fireball. And they might not even be words, per se, rather sounds. The first part sounds to me like: Ricki tah ticki tah ticki ta da - x4 I can't really get a good grasp of the second part. But none of them close their lips during this part. My best effort would be: Weenyah weenyah weenya wa - x3

大好きなファイアーボール！橘の素晴らしさ満開！近頃の橘は寂しく感じます。やはり橘はカレッジスタイルがよく似合います！
この動画のfire ballが橘初公開のfire ballなのかと思いながら見てました。2018年ローズパレードで一番お気に入りの曲です。
2018年ローズパレードの動画を何度も見返していて気づいたのですが、fire ballの演奏は、最初のイントロで盛り上がり、次に「ファイヤーボール」の掛け声で盛り上がり、そして最後に、てきにゃんダンスでトドメをさす、という感じですね。
てきにゃんダンスが始まるとso goodやNo.1といった観客の声が聞こえてきます。観客も心底感激してるんだなと思いました。
この動画は2016年2月のイベントなので、代替わりしてすぐのイベントだと思いますが、この後に続くさくらパレード、ブルーメの丘、ブラスエキスポ、ガラシャ祭、等でのfire ballも繰り返し見てます。この中でのお気に入りはガラシャ祭です。
2018年のマーチングコンテストの選曲や構成も好きでした。113期生のセンスに脱帽です。そして、fire ballを選んでくれてありがとう😭
ぴいもちゃんがDMの113期だね。懐かしく覚えてるのは、全国金賞の時のれえなちゃんのトランペットソロだね、、112期DMのコニーちゃんがめちゃ喜んでたのを思い出すなぁー(笑) この期にはパーカス隊が居なくて、ちっぴ、こまれ、バスドラちゃん達が2年間パーカス隊を頑張る事で鍛えられ、次のDMロンちゃんに引き継がれ、あのローズパレードの衝撃に継ったよね。素晴らしい伝統だと思います、京都橘吹奏楽部、、オレンジの悪魔👿 日本の誇り！
