Ok I’ve been keeping myself spoiler free of this game, so all of this is new to me, but this entire cutscene looks so wholesome even with the fan dialogue

It doesn't feel like he's constantly shouting, like seriously, look at sonic generations, the tone for shouting was just a slightly louder version of the normal voice, which isn't how voices work. The lower the noise, the deeper it is, so going forward, I kinda want both voices, with this one for normal talking and a higher one more like generations and forced for shouting. Obviously, dialogue is more important, so I'm fine of they don't do this, but giving him a range of pitches would help with emphasizing certain lines and matching the tone of the scene, not just the overall story.

I like how the writing style in this reflects the tone of Sonic Frontier's writing. They are reflecting on their past mistakes and making references to old games (videos).
This game truly feels like a reboot in a way. Not that it retconned everything prior but more like the franchise is ready to move forward and not give us 10 more years of Green Hill zone 1

It's been taking a bit of getting used to seeing Sonic characters be sincere after so many years of memes, snark, and meta humor, but it's such a breath of fresh air. And I'm happy to see others feel the same way!
Absolutely incredible. I love that Knuckles is more mature now, akin to how everyone's characters got more detailed in the actual game, and his Sonic impression is also deep to match!

@@crust9889 The bar has been pretty low for Sonic since Sonic Forces, so yeah 5 years ago. Which is very sad but with the movies and Sonic Frontiers out now, here’s to hoping the Sonic franchise slowly heals from its negative reputation.

The final reveal was a great way for sonic to avoid having to deal with the genuine feelings of knuckles, you can really tell that sonic for all his bravado is pretty avoidant and tries to maintain his distance, but knuckles being the dense meathead that he is, can't help but try to barge through those distancing tricks, and manages to express his genuine concern for his friend, despite sonic trying to rouse his anger to avoid having to deal with his sympathy.
This feels long like a parent talk😭
Why does this actually feel like a legit thing both Sonic and Knuckles would talk about!? You captured their vibes pretty well, even for parody's sake, and I just love that.

It's incredible how not only a touching yet completely in character dialogue was born from just a mere few nonsensical lines of a short skit, but also a million other videos based on that first one were as well.

The sudden plot twist in the mid-conversation is like how best friends talking to each other. They can be the ones caring for others the most, but also ones with the most "Evil" intention.
