Challenging one today! Dropped slightly from last week, but Learning is fun! So Thank-you for another Great quiz, Sean! I hope you're having a wonderful week!😊🌼🌻🐝
Hawking Class: 37/50 without the Bonus Question. Actually , just a little bit better than last time. 8/10, 5/10, 9/10, 7/10, 8/10. Great tests to make sure I'm not senile at 70 yet! Thank you!
Could not remember Diwali had to look it up! Thank you for another fun and challenging quiz Sean! I got somewhere between eight and 10 wrong however, I enjoy these quizzes
Now Being In the elderly category, I find myself just checking to see if I’m losing it yet. I’m usually in the Hawking class…. Today as well. Thanks for the reassurance.
The answer to the bonus question is Diwali --- a beautiful word for lovely Autumn celebrations. My final score: 44/50. Thanks for the great quiz, Sean! 🎉😊
Hi Shaun. The character (4th) round was very hard…but I was absolutely amazed and also really proud at one question/ character. The answer was Andy Capp, which was a regular cartoon strip in the Hartlepool Mail, a local North East England newspaper published here in the UK! I believe it was also in a national UK newspaper. The author / writer and artist of the cartoon was Reg Smythe, who lived in Hartlepool! There is a statue of Andy Capp proudly displayed on the (Hartlepool) Headland. As you can no doubt ascertain, I am from and live in Hartlepool! Thank you for reminding us Hartlepudlians of another reason to be proud of our town!
Andy Capp the comic strip has travelled a lot more widely than its title character presumably ever did. It was (and maybe still is?) syndicated in Canada; I remember it when I was growing up. A web search says it was in the USA and Philippines too, so presumably widely distributed.
Many thanks for the quiz Sean. 46/50. Also the question for the bonus seems to have featured in a lot of quizzes recently, so actually knew the answer to this one :)
35-41 maybe one of my favorite quizzes these past few weeks. Great job Sean and the bonus question I don’t know. Q: what is the bonus question worth? If I’m a Fleming award does it get me up to hawking award? 😂
I got 28...I fell flat on my face after Olive Oyl, not one more of those list did I know except Andy Capp but I couldn't remember his name. It's been more than sixty years. The mystery question? If I knew the answer I wouldn't be able to spell it. Looking forward to more. Thanks.
I missed 4, cold. I had to scrape my memory to come up with Woodstock, but was successful. Did not at all know Italy's first female leader...egad! I knew the strip characters well, except for Olaf. But I suspect my age is entirely to blame for this familiarity! Anyway, I am just chatting. A really good general knowledge workout. Nothing that I consider outright junk! So an excellent quiz. Thank you. (I did scratch around to recall Diwali ... which I knew, but could not recall. Ouch) 👍
I like the format, although I prefer not having choices, I liked the cartoon questions best as you had to really answer. I got 43 right, but probably 6-7 were just successful guesses.
The Fleming Award of Intelligence 34 on 50 . Must say it’s hard when English isn’t your mother tongue. Some words were ignored by me. 🎉. Not too bad anyway and fun to learn
Diwali. I got 45, many of them guesses. Multiple choice questions can be answered more easily because your brain is reminded of the name etc that you have to otherwise retrieve from your memory, or the other two options are clearly wrong. Knowledge does indicate intelligence. Intelligent people don't always possess a good memory but they can figure things out.
Interesting process. Im analytical and i found the type of questions to be non-theoretical or applicable to experience. I would do mych better with questions in which i would have to reason, rather than something i would have to had experienced / applied OR to have memorized. Thank you! Arlene
First timer. Duval, fireworks and red powder. 38/50. 10/10 for Sceince, 9/10 for Historical Firsts. Pop music, Beatles fail. 7/10 ea Triva, no pop culture or music. Only 5/10 Pictures, zip on any after 1970s. Great Quiz.
only 37 but I only really screwed up on 2. Always choose your first response unless you are positive that you were wrong the first time. Age almost 66. Hick from the US.
Sorry I was late today, Sean. The answer to the bonus question is Diwali. As for my score, I scored quite poorly in the characters questions, but did not badly in the rest. I do love your channel and the quizzes you share with the likes of me. So, thank you, Sean! 🙏💕👍
30 - Fleming award of intelligence Don't know the bonus. I must say, many I missed due to getting older and simply having forgotten much of what I once knew.
Diwali is the festival of light
Correct!
what's the one where they throw powdered flowers....Holi!!!!!!
Diwali
Diesli
DIWALI
40/50 Einstein has nothing but worry about.I’m 70 years old and proud of myself 😀👏👏👏
I got the same. 66 yrs old. We should be glad for ourselves. Todays college students seem to have forgotten 90% of their knowledge.
@@jokabjo1694 I'm 75 years old. I got a 39 and a mild headache 😄😅
Well I answered all 50 questions and I think I even got 3 right.
😁
🤣
Too funny!!!
A person with a sense of humour! I like that! You don't have to be clever when you are that funny!
You’re an idiot! I got 4 right and I think maybe 1 of them was wrong.
41 at the age of 92 and I'm reasonably satisfied
Great job, son!
I was a reciprocal of you I answered 92 at age 41😂
Excellent!
You should have more knowledge than most!
@@vanzandt8809 ......and more years to forget. 😀
Challenging one today! Dropped slightly from last week, but Learning is fun! So Thank-you for another Great quiz, Sean! I hope you're having a wonderful week!😊🌼🌻🐝
I got 35 correct answers and I'm 66 yrs.old ,from the Philippines.
Hawking Class: 37/50 without the Bonus Question. Actually , just a little bit better than last time. 8/10, 5/10, 9/10, 7/10, 8/10. Great tests to make sure I'm not senile at 70 yet! Thank you!
I agree - 72 and in the Hawking class...
Anyone who puts fish on a Caesar needs immediate help!
it's used in making the dressing, you've probably eaten it and not even known it was there.
The anchovy paste in the dressing is part of what makes it a Caesar Salad.
That what I thought?@@DolOnTheDial
Bits of anchovy are the best reason to eat a salad.
Best with the silver anchovies, not the excessively salty brown brined ones.
Could not remember Diwali had to look it up! Thank you for another fun and challenging quiz Sean! I got somewhere between eight and 10 wrong however, I enjoy these quizzes
45/50. I am no good on cartoons that weren’t shown in UK, or sport! Bonus Diwali, celebrated wonderfully in Leicester. 🇬🇧👍
Yes the cartoons screwed my score
Can't imagine non UK getting Andy Cap!
Same for me with the cartoons. 46/50. Did get Diwali though.
Now Being In the elderly category, I find myself just checking to see if I’m losing it yet. I’m usually in the Hawking class…. Today as well. Thanks for the reassurance.
Ditto!
Me too - Senior and in Hawking
The answer to the bonus question is Diwali --- a beautiful word for lovely Autumn celebrations. My final score: 44/50. Thanks for the great quiz, Sean! 🎉😊
Oh boy, I scored a Certificate Of Attendance!
Impressive tbf
I love your comment. Ha ha😂
13;03 she is not Cleopatra. She's Nefertiti.
Now that you mention it. You are absolutely correct.
LOL I saw that too.
I answered all of of them.. All 50. 😁 Got a few wrong and plenty right..🤗
Great comment 😂
Me too

I'm a little Einstein.
Andy Capp the comic strip has travelled a lot more widely than its title character presumably ever did. It was (and maybe still is?) syndicated in Canada; I remember it when I was growing up. A web search says it was in the USA and Philippines too, so presumably widely distributed.
Andy Capp was also in Australian newspapers when I was growing up.
In its day, Andy Capp was featured in the comics section of almost every newspaper of the USA.
Also known as willi wacker in Germany. Gotta love the chase.b
As Clint Eastwood said "A man needs to know his limitations" and your quizzes expose mine !! I'm in the 50% range usually.
I love your quizzes.
One of the best lines ever.
Many thanks for the quiz Sean. 46/50. Also the question for the bonus seems to have featured in a lot of quizzes recently, so actually knew the answer to this one :)
You are very very good. 34 for me and didn’t have a clue about the bonus question’s answer
Thank you@@luciel4502, I just have this habit of retaining lots of useless information, that is only of benefit when doing a quiz :)
43/50.
Thank you I like your quizzes, somedays I do well and others not so. Always a good challenge 🤔
I enjoyed that Shaun thank you I’ve liked and subscribed and shall try some of the others when time permits.
Thanks again Sean. Can't believe how my memory of comic characters deserted me under pressure. Oh well, back to reality!
Alot of them were from the newspapers and I haven't had one for probably 20 years so I had to rely on what I remembered from when I was a youngster.
I got 47. Einstein!! Yay!
I'll take the Fleming Award Of Intelligence! First time doing these quizzes, and got the bonus question right - Diwali 😄 Thanks for a great quiz.
35-41 maybe one of my favorite quizzes these past few weeks. Great job Sean and the bonus question I don’t know. Q: what is the bonus question worth? If I’m a Fleming award does it get me up to hawking award? 😂
44.... correct. Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights.
40 approx correct and was easy to recall
I got 28...I fell flat on my face after Olive Oyl, not one more of those list did I know except Andy Capp but I couldn't remember his name. It's been more than sixty years. The mystery question? If I knew the answer I wouldn't be able to spell it. Looking forward to more. Thanks.
Same here both on 28 and the characters also could not remember in time.
Me too 28
I got 29 out of 50. Maybe because I got Dick Tracy correct.
Me too. 28. That was fun. Subscribed ☑
Hi Sean. Hawking today ( most of the time) 39/50. Diwali is the holiday. I love these quizzes. Keeps me on my 83 year old toes.
I missed 4, cold. I had to scrape my memory to come up with Woodstock, but was successful. Did not at all know Italy's first female leader...egad! I knew the strip characters well, except for Olaf. But I suspect my age is entirely to blame for this familiarity!

(I did scratch around to recall Diwali ... which I knew, but could not recall. Ouch) 👍
I enjoyed this quizz very much!
I am consistently Hawking. I rarely miss science/math/history, but fail at social/mindless trivia. 😮
Same here ,stuck on hawking. I got to Einstein a couple times but answered a lot of the questions with a question mark 😊
Same boat here too
Diwali
You think that makes you sound so intelligent but it only shows you’re not well rounded.
@@savahbejin7511 and pretentious
Finally, trivia that makes me think.
BRILLIANT as usual, am 78 and am forgetting facts but answered 45. I love your quizzes thankyou x
Great job Mr Sean.

Managed 28 so hopefully in the words of one of the Who's' best songs I Won't get fooled again. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.
I only got 1 more right than you did. This was a tough one.
Dialing....I'm happy to participate in the game.....I did not know I know so much...
Diwali. Hawking……I am 83 so quite satisfied I am not yet senile! 😊😊
40/50. Never heard of the cockpit of Europe, and I dropped points on the cartoon characters.
I always fail these questions, and still take them every time. This tells me how much I do not know!!!!!!
I got half of them right😮.
Me too❤
The festival is called "itsdalights"
Got 27 and guessed on at least 5 😂
34 I am ashamed to say I didn't get Madame Curi. I wasn't thinking.Lost in the cartoons. Don't think that should have been a catagory.
I’m 64. Got 44 correct, plus knew the bonus question! I surprised myself 😅. Thanks for the brain tuneup!

38/50 no Idea on the bonus. Thank you, Sean, for including the bonus at the end. Great quiz once more. 👍😘
🎉
Interesting process. Im analytical and i found the type of questions to be non-theoretical or applicable to experience.
I would do mych better with questions in which i would have to reason, rather than something i would have to had experienced / applied OR to have memorized.

The cartoon characters killed it for me!

42. Animated questions got me!
40/50. I bombed out on a number of the cartoon characters butb scored on a couple of guesses in other categories.
only 37 but I only really screwed up on 2. Always choose your first response unless you are positive that you were wrong the first time. Age almost 66. Hick from the US.

That ‘E’ on the keyboard, eh?
So how do you score the inteligence. What would be the normal or average in the numbers?
I can of course answer all of them, as can everyone else!
18 correct. Diwali is the festival of lights in india.
30 ... not bad. But I think I'll have to go and learn more. Actually 3 of my correct answers were just lucky guesses ;-)
Diwali is the festival of lights.Good entertainment for seniors who are at home 🎉
30 - Fleming award of intelligence Don't know the bonus. I must say, many I missed due to getting older and simply having forgotten much of what I once knew.
High marks in trivial general knowledge questions is not a measure of intelligence. Intelligence is measured by deductive reasoning.
