Dear Please don’t mislead the people, this is not a pump, pump should be possible pull up water above the inlet water level ( Well water level or river water level). But this system always should be final exit water out let below river/Well water inlet level. Otherwise it does not work.

The put pipe must be larger with a larger weight of water the the in pipe then gravity should keep the water flowing. So if there is 20 kg of water on the out side but only 5 kg on the in side then the weight should draw the water . If no air gets in I would say it could run independently but maybe not. Good too try

If you are using this design add a second 1/2 inch suction pipe With filter and foot valve 1 in front 1 at rear tee into fill port below shutoff valves.
