Other than Duck you Sucker, I had never heard of any of these obscure underrated spaghetti westerns. Not my favorite genre, but your video does spark some interest in these movies.
Just a few of the many that often pass under the radar............. The Great Silence (1968) A Bullet For The General (1966) A Professional Gun (1968) The Stranger Returns ( 1967) A great soundtrack too (not by Ennio) Death Rides a Horse (1967) And a few later gems............. Keoma (1976) A Man Called Blade (1977) Aquasanta Joe (1971)
Excellent list . Here’s some more Kill The Wicked -1967 ( earlier superior version of Matalo ) The Forgotten Pistolero aka Gunmen From Ave Maria - 1969 Face To Face -1967 One After The Other - 1968 No Room To Die aka Noose For Django -1969 A Bullet For The President aka The Price Of Power - 1969 . Director Tonino Valerii was one of Leone’s assistant directors . This was filmed back to back with Once Upon A Time In The West on the same locations . Johnny Hamlet aka The Wild And The Dirty -1969 Anda Muchacho Spara aka Dead Men Ride aka At The End Of The Rainbow -1971 Blindman -1974 Tepepa -1968 Night Of The Serpent -1969 A Minute To Pray A Second To Die ( like Bullet for Sandoval the uncut Version only ) -1967 The Long Days Of Vengeance -1967 Two Sides Of The Dollar -1969
Yes, these SW were underrated when first released, A lot of them have gained a following over the years. Many more could be added to the list. James Coburns' entrance in Duck You Sucker is worth the price of admission. Too bad the studio suits got involved; they wanted to showcase Steiger. After the success of the "Dollars Trilogy" the U.S. producers/distributors looked upon Sergio Leone as a meal ticket, not a great director. Thanks for posting this list of little gems.
Great list, I would add Starblack/Johnny Colt from 1966. It's an homage to the Republic Serials from the 1930's and 40's Directed by William Witney such as Zorro and Lone Ranger. Starting with the 3 Sergios of Spaghetti Westerns is a great way to immerse yourself in the genre. In the specific order of Sergio Leone, which most of you have already seen, then the ones of Sergio Corbucci, and then Sergio Sollima. After that, you'll really have an appreciation for the genre, and it'll always be interesting to find the hidden gems afterwards.
This is by far the BEST western information channel.👍 THANK YOU! I have completely enjoyed ALL of your videos
Great to hear! Thanks.
I have to admit, most of these pasta me by....
Ouch!

Nice to hear from a real fan.
Duck you Sucker is totally unappreciated!!! It's an absolute 💎
Full of action!
My favorite Leone and my favorite Morricone. This is more than a film; it's an opera.
Almost Every Spaghetti Western is Underated!
Looks interesting. Some of these movies are in dire need for a restoration though.
Sure, not sure there is anyone wanting to do this however?
Fist Full of Dynamite is decent!
They changed the name from Duck You Sucker for subsequent releases and to cash in on FFOD success.
Son's of Katie Elder, were John Wayne had an unexplained Italian brother.
