Woah! Thank you for sharing our UL backpack ventilation frame with everyone. We are delighted to hear the frame is performing well on the Camino. Keep us posted on how it goes.
Great video again. You guys continue to provide all kinds of useful information. When we did the EBC two years ago we watched so many packing videos and ended up bringing twice what we needed for the what ifs. You guys are giving solid information while showing how little you can get by with. Also, if we find we need something I imagine things can be picked up on the way.
We've watched a lot of those EBC and Camino packing videos, we weren't sure which we would end up trying first, but here we are! Everyone is different but we thought we would talk about what we brought, even some of the more unusual things. We'll see how it all works out by the end! And yes, most things can be picked up along the way, though not at every little village. We are looking to get some sock liners but we are about four stages away from a town with a Decathalon.
I used to always do it as a backpacker in hostels but since we upgraded to hotels and guesthouses I haven’t used one in years. But here in the Albergues it works really well if you have room in your bag for the extra bulk.
This is very similar to the Rocktape we brought. Luckily the pharmacies all along the Camino have plenty of blister products so while we only brought a little with us, we can buy more as needed. 😁
We’ll have to check those out. We have a tiny pair in our sewing kit but we didn’t think they would be reliable cutting up bandages. Thanks for the recommendations!
Great info. I am interested in hearing your essential list at the end of your trip. Did you give up anything, regret any "stuff" you brought, change anything out, or add any new supplies?
Thanks for the detailed video. I hope to walk the Camino sometime soon. What did you do with the rest of your luggage? Also, do Albergues provide pillows?
We sent the rest of our luggage ahead to Santiago from Saint Jean PDP using Express Bouricott for 70 Euro per bag. Very easy. So far we’ve been mixing Albergue’s with private rooms and yes so far they have all come with a pillow.
I love your channel but at 38 minutes you’re testing the boundaries. Here’s my packing list: Altra Lone Peak because that’s what I have. One long sleeved white shirt I received as a marathon finisher, one short sleeve runners finisher shirt because it’s what I have. Two pants with zip off legs because, yep, it’s what I have. I do have to get new socks because all of them have holes. Probably will stick with Starter from Walmart. 30 liter backpack.-already have it. The only new equipment I bought was a light weight camping quilt since I am going in the fall.
Totally fair about length, appreciate the feedback! Don't worry, most of our videos in this series will be much shorter, but some of our longer videos do pretty well so we just say what we have to say and we're still testing what works (or not). I think minimalism in packing is a great goal, especially for walking the Camino, though obviously we didn't push those boundaries much and brought a lot of more indulgent items. We'll see how we feel about it all in the end. The good news is that even after a few days those 20 pounds don't really bother us at all anymore. But if you can do lighter, I don't think you'll be sad about it! 😀

We will do a gear review at the end of our Camino, of what held up and what didn't, but so far we think it was a good choice to bring!
Helpful tips! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! 😄

We love sleeves! I discovered them when I bike commuted, so useful!
Yup, so far they are working out great!
I have to say, sleeping in a Q fitted sheet sounds brilliant.

Experienced backpackers carry Leukotape for blisters, and can double as bandaids with gauze.
This is very similar to the Rocktape we brought. Luckily the pharmacies all along the Camino have plenty of blister products so while we only brought a little with us, we can buy more as needed. 😁
Scissors that backpackers use: Westcott 13867 Pointed Titanium-Bonded Small Sewing Scissors for Crafting. Very small, light and effective
We’ll have to check those out. We have a tiny pair in our sewing kit but we didn’t think they would be reliable cutting up bandages. Thanks for the recommendations!
Another great informative video. Love watching your daily reports on FB.
Much appreciated! Thanks for following us 😄

Thanks, I am going to order that sunscreen butter.
Great, I hope it works out for you, so far we are really liking it!

Sun gloves for the hands
If you can handle wearing gloves this would give great protection!
Would have never thought of that!
@@tendegreeswarmer I bought a really lightweight fingerless pair with grippies,
that I cannot go without
"Hat" tip?
The internet version of a polite acknowledgement of where we learned the information. Just think of a proper gentleman tipping his hat in thanks. 😀
@@tendegreeswarmer I feel so old. 😆
