      They talk about the brand in the video "hyped brands" (or something like that) i love the ordinary, because even if it's not as good as for example, the "better" doesn't excuse a 80$ price difference.
      I love the ordinary and they have so much information on their website, they explain every product so well and have different studies. So definetly check out their website, i'm so much more happy with my skin since i use the ordinary! :)

    So glad you guys brought up the outdated info on niacinamide and vitamin c. I came across articles on that months ago. In order for the niacinamide to break down it would need to be exposed to extreme heat for extended periods of time. It also does not corrupt the vitamin c but converts it to niacinamide ascorbate. Which is actually good for your skin and reversing skin damage from the sun

    • @BeautyWithin
      @BeautyWithin  5 ปีที่แล้ว +132

      So glad you're finding the ABC series helpful! It means a lot to us! As for the patting and smoothing, there really isn't a set rule on what you should do when applying each product. Some people find the patting helpful for making sure the products to sink into the skin, whereas the upwards smoothing motion helps to retain the skin's shape and prevent from sagging. But the bottom line is to be gentle to your skin so you shouldn't be rubbing harshly. Do what you feel is the most comfortable to you! Hope this helps! 😊😊

    BEAUTY WITHIN is the beeeessst to listen to regarding actives!!! They are the reason I fully understand Niacinamide...And I love it. NOW becasue of it, I started my youtube channel about skin care and use my own language so my people will fully understand the power of niacinamide. I even do ppt just like they do because visuals are easy to understand...This channel is the reason why I want to share what I know about niacinamide and talk about it to my channel. Thank you sooo much for inspiring me

    Excellent presentation! Just added niacinamide to my routine and I feel so happy that I did after watching this! I did have some irritation and redness using it with a Vitamin C product I had, but like you said, it may have been a secondary ingredient causing the issue, so thank you for busting that myth (although I think I heard you both say it DID interfere with each other in another video, so I was confused at first). Also, love your graphics in the explanations - the search bar and excel visuals were so cute! Good work, ladies :)

    Oh my gosh, I just bought a vitamin C derivative serum from the ordinary that’s meant to be used in the night, but my night cream is a niacinamide cream!! I’ll definitely try the combo out to see if it’s adverse on my skin but I’m itching to return that serum and maybe get the niacinamide booster from paula’s for my day routine now LOL

    • @BeautyWithin
      @BeautyWithin  5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Actually as we mentioned in the video, vitamin C and niacinamide is actually fine to use together! But as you said just see how your skin is reacting to it, if there's no irritation it will actually help to boost each other, especially when used during the day! Personally I love the Paula's Choice booster, because you can choose what to mix it into (like a serum or moisturizer) and it's so lightweight and non-irritating 😘- fel

    Great video again guys! Love the channel, I have learned so much. Just wanted to add that I had a terrible reaction when using The Ordinary. Another product I'd recommend would be Saturday Skin's Pro-Biotics Cotton Cloud Sheet Mask.
    It. Is. DREAMY.
    When I used it the first time, I felt like there was this beautiful plumping effect to my skin, and this glow-from-within look. But I also kept the packets since there was so much leftover serum in them and just started using it as an essence in my skincare routine, and I've seen such a difference. My redness has decreased significantly, my pores have reduced, blemishes gone and overall very smooth flawless-looking skin. And when I tried to figure out what ingredient it was that was suiting me so well, I saw that (among other ingredients which I'm sure are also great) Niacinimide was mentioned high up in the list. I'm VERY sure Niacinimide made the difference in my skin. And if it didn't, then I'd still recommend this sheet mask for all the other gorgeous ingredients my plebian mind can't comprehend in all its glory. Seriously, check it out. I love it.

    Hi girls! Thank you for all your videos. I find them super useful and helpful. I’m struggling with acne since 12 I guess, now I’m 25 and decided to take retinoids pills. Perhaps you can make another video for those who are taking those... as dermatologists do not propose most effective moisturizers, especially for lips! What can go together with retinoids? What oils should be used? What to avoid? Although I watched ur video about vitamin A, I still would love to see what specific skin care should I do, if I am taking the pills and how to soothe the dryness of the lips(!!!) and skin! I WOULD APPRECIATE IT! Thank you:)
