He is a nerd but he is perfectly fine with waiting till he finds the right person. He doesn't make a move on a girl simply because she's "hot". I can't necessarily say that his ending would happen to everyone but at least he is a character with self respect.
I actually had to pause the episode because I couldn't stop laughing for about 10 minutes because of Abed in this clip. There are no words to describe just HOW much I LOVE his character!
0:53 and 1:12 is subtle comedic gold. The two black characters missing any 'white' movie references and only understanding the references for similar 'black' movies. Being Black myself, I find this hilarious as I have not seen any of the 'white' shows in this reference, but I have seen the 'black' equivalents. Community was so fresh and original in the first three seasons. Underrated series, for sure.
I love that Troy says "Can't Buy Me Love" was a remake of "Love Don't Cost a Thing" for white audiences, when the opposite is true, lol. (Can't Buy Me Love came out like 20 years ago, and Love Don't Cost a Thing was an update of it for African American audiences) It's obscure references and jokes like that that make me love this show!
It also reminded me of these acquaintances I made in College who would say the most inaccurate things with such confidence it was ironic. #dunningkruger

I think if most people with half a brain would give it a chance, they'd get a lot more out of it than they would from shows on the level of BBT. I've watched the entire series at least 2 times, but probably more, and I could easily go through it again a few more times. A high quality show ages well. A show like BBT is boring the second time (if not the first): there's nothing under the surface.
