Great video, thanks! I use the pool buoy for extended periods then I stop using it for a similar amount of time. It's really helped improve my swimming posture!
So glad I found this video. I love using my pull buoy and paddles. I feel that I can focus on my stroke and form. The only bad part is that I have a weak kick. So now I am starting to incorporate kicking drills in my swim workout.
Up until recently I really hated the pull buoy. Reason being, I felt very flat in the water using it and my legs are normally close to the surface anyhow so I didn't see the benefit. While using it I was doing the windmill which I don't do swimming without the bull buy. However as I've worked on rotation, using more core and rotating the whole body together, I realized my hips weren't rotating enough in the water in the past and the PB accentuated my problem making the hips even more flat. Now I'm starting to enjoy it and it forces me to using more core to rotate and be more balanced.
That’s funny. I have been swimming for about two years now and the first time I used a pull buoy I didn’t like it. I don’t have sinking legs so I disregarded it until just recently and I too am starting to notice it is making me use my core a lot more while rotating between each stroke. Excited to get it down better because as of right now I feel off balanced using it. Excited to get a better feel with my rotation and utilizing more core more
Thank you. Thy shall not judge. Makes complete sense.
I will be getting my self a Pool Bouy and using it in some of my training swims

Claudeth Forbin I love using my pull bout and paddles but in my training we only use fins😭😭
I love to swim with pull buoy, very relax and fast. Always break my PBwith pull buoy.
I will not be feeling guilty from next time and will be proud, thanks to your video!
Thank you, i just bought one 😊

To my mind it's not advisable to use too much pull buoy and paddles. I only use PB when I practice sculling
thank you...
Which hand paddle are you using?
always love the videos-- thanks
his head position? looking forward?
yeah seems odd position
His spine and neck muscles are so flexible that it doesn’t sink him
Its actually good when you practice at it helps you to control your arms movements.
Some women swimmers I know are slowed down by pull buoys / why is that?
Got back ache. Even after i stopped using the buoy a Little pain remains
Can you please elaborate?.. I have nasty backpain and an atrophied leg mandates pull buoy usage
@@briandoe1460 try it once. And for a few laps. I swam continuously and got back ache. People said i might have over arched my back.
@@brandx4 thanks for the reply, I'll try and be mindful of it
Never love your pool boy
Are you sure this is the correct video for the narrative
I love my fins…😂
The lady seems to have a dropped elbow e.g. at 2.16. Late comment 😆
