A most moving story. *Nellie was a lovely lady, a Classic Beauty, and she proved her intelligence and Professional Capabilities. I appreciated her direct honesty and Authenticity. What a Mature Minded and Graceful Lady.*
The Ross family is still prevalent in Tennessee, particularly West Tennessee.

The Republican and Democrat Parties were quite different in the very early 20th Century than they came to be later and very different than present. The Parties actually swapped their platforms after the following Lincoln, whom today would clearly be a Democrat.
The subject is interesting and I would encourage those interested in a more fluid understanding of the Parties, particularly the one held as their party of choice, and those interested in Politics, to Search the subject and gain the valid History on the subject.
Also become familiar with what defines each party and their platforms.
