Cowdog Hank

Looks like one of our cast members is developing a career in the cattle trade! Is it true that some dogs just know what to do when it comes to herding and guarding livestock? In the case with Hank, I'm am at a loss for words. He is just two years old and naturally knew how to play fetch. That was impressive. Hank has always been good while around my chickens and also not bolting around on the horses or cows.
But today? He waited till I gave a distinct tone and he started herding the steer. Later on (in a moment I wish I had caught on film!) we walked right up on the crazy calf. He didn't make a move till I said "push" and suddenly, he had that calf scooted back to its momma!
Wow. I'm so impressed.
