So much granite, why does it have to be granite! Hard to find good crevices. I would say with the water that high you did very well. It's only going to get better!
Yeah I'm not a fan of the stuff as well, this is probably the only place I will even mess with the stuff. I can't wait until the water drops enough for some sniping!
I'm don't pan regularly but that looks like a good day. You'd be surprised how many pockets have gathered up old nails and bullets. I find those in my local creeks all the time. Luckily they usually have some coins in them also.
Wow that’s a lot of square nails for one little spot there ! Good looking gold too. I never mined upriver only fished up above the bridge! Looks like you and Justin had a great day buddy, see y’all out there soon 😊👍🍀⚒🇺🇸
The old nails, and that Rock Painting were way cool... if that rock was here in SoCal... there would be spray paint all over it.. good gold searchin n finding also. Thanx.
Was that just a battery operated vacuum you were using, or did you have a small generator with you? I really like that river art that was painted on the rock, very cool😊
With the heavy winter and large snow packs, it will be a great year for panning once the waters recede. All that gold rushing down the Rivers. Can't wait to get out there!! Thanks for sharing.
bring a 20 ton bottle jack to pry the rocks apart most of the rocks don't weigh that much this would work they are very small (bottle jacks) sent some emails to try and learn more get around other people then go back on my own I don't see anybody where I go in the mountains just me this is good
I do quite well and know quite a bit, I don't know it all though and don't claim to. I get a ton of messages about what I should be doing, use a metal detector, use a jack, you should be sniping, you should dig over there, etc. They all may be right and I may do just that one day I only have 8 hours once a week if i'm lucky out there. I try to mix it up and cover a bunch of different methods, this area is high tourist traffic and prospecting is frowned upon (hands and pans) so I just dig cracks make minimal impact to not draw unwanted attention. If I started a hole here or made obvious workings I could get in trouble. Your idea is good though and I have used bottle jacks and winches in other locations.. One day you will see it on video, thanks for the input and for watching.
@@californiamotherlodeprospect yup you always have to learn more gonna go to hang out with other prospectors that no more I'm still new to this but bitten by the prospecting bug nice warm days out doors and free $$$$ maybe a lot or a little just fun being outside I have seen other people using winches kind of scary the cables are small and the rocks are huge I will use the bottle jack over the winch the jack can't snap me I just pan move some rocks dig some dirt nothing serious nice and shiney gold
@@californiamotherlodeprospect in. Nw missouri we get glacial flow gold and we deal with alot of gravel bars covered i. Grass so we cut the grass off as we go and set it in the sluice bow that sets underwater. So it cleans the roots and we get the gold not that much but we get some most comes from the bedrock and crevices
I've got a blue bowl but haven't had any good material to run through it yet.if you send me some blue bowl stuff I will make a video and promote your channel and send you the gold back if you want.

Does that river ever slow down
HAHA I checked dreamflows and its one of the rivers here with the most flows! possibly thats why the gold is so good once its low.
