- This is a basic tutorial that walks you through some of the considerations you need to make when building a basic defensive bunker with rifle garrisons. In a few minutes minutes you'll be ready to head your enemies off at the pass!
Building bunkers alone will destroy your soul he says. I wish I had thought of that before making a multi storm Cannon battery and three layers of defensive bunkers alone. He is correct though, the daily upkeep required for a base like that to not decay is too much for an average human being with a life to maintain. The important thing to remember is each individual building part of a bunker will cost one supply of upkeep. So a bunker made of six segments is six Garrison supplies per hour. Bunker bases can quickly reach into the hundreds of pieces if you don't know how to build efficiently.
Doesn't seem worth it if you're just building a complex that the enemy might completely bypass because attacking it offers no strategic purpose, unless it was harassing your lines with artillery

I would not be surprised if this was one of the imperial fists initiate trials, and if it was a full battle brother the fortifications would be such that make the defenses on terra look like a wooden door with a rusty lock

Best BB guide so far. Was able to build my first BB on try #1
If you're a solo player, skip BB's and fit in to the existing patterns of other groups. BB's can be something to get into if you have a crew to work with, even if it's just one other person.

connecting rifle garrison to the main 6 piece bunker makes the main bunker integrity very low and hard to repair when under artillery DO NOT connect more than 6 pieces to the main bunker, this is incorrect main base build.
you see, this is the kind of stuff that Foxhole tutorials never cover. the nitty gritty Meta details that Players figured out. not just how to do something, but how to do it most effectively. how to get the most out of your efforts.

Haha, people who build bunkers should already know, but there is a bug that sometimes doesn't let you place a bunker piece, even if you should be able to. You can see earlier on that I did in fact have a blueprint already there, but I can no longer place it. I ended up redoing the whole bunker in the same location because of that bug.

your statement about burning your soul if build BoB alone were true, several war ago(i forgot which war conquest it is), colonials taking Mara at Faranac Coast, and it is defenseless, im trying to builds some defenses alone, but dude, that's made my mood even worse, damn...

building a bunker base alone is kinda boring, tiresome and indeed will destroy your soul. but i'm getting used to it even a bit satisfying when the base you built becomes useful. what i usually do is scrap until i get around up to 30k to 50k bmats. then i start building.
My only complaint is speaking for others. Words like "You need" and "you should". Both of these are flawed. It's a simple matter of others knowing better what their needs are (they might need to know more. etc) and there's no "should" about it. Because the situation is the situation. It's a common mistake of accidently deciding for others, or at least such wording implies as such.
Other then that good vid. Another tactic with bunkers is to simply use a bunker base as a basic stockpile to push the advantage. Let's say on the edge of an enemy town. Doesn't need to be anything fancy. Even a simple basic bunker base on its own can serve as a staging ground to keep an attack going and finish off a weakened enemy. At the same time you got a place to fall back too and start digging in if things don't pan out. Best done on an enemies front line once you take it over. Just make sure you're stockpiled behind the front line in your other bunker bases first. Overan stonecradle in the last war doing that.
