Thanks for watching. This blower has not been used in some time and it's obvious that it need a lot of work. $4 and 1 hour later, it's fixed.

Wanted to say thank you for your detailed and well explained videos. My dad had an ice auger that wouldn't start, and with the knowledge I got from you, I was able to confidently take it apart, diagnose it, and fix it! It had a piece of debris on the rocker arm and it wasn't allowing fuel to flow. He say it's running better than ever. So thank you.

I actually just fixed a little snail shell Weedeater leaf blower. I got it from my scrap guy for $5. It needed new fuel lines and the screen cleaned. After a carb adjustment it runs great. It's about 20 years old .

Hey! I finally got the new carburetor for that FS110 trimmer and put it on. The thing starts first pull and runs beautifully now. I still wish I had properly repaired the original, but there's nothing wrong with the replacement, so I'll get over it. Thanks.

I hear that in California the state wants to phase out all gas powered small engines. You'll only be able to buy electric around the year 2030. Seems like a good idea to save all the gas powered equipment that you can!

It's definitely worth fixing it for personal use or for giving away to someone in need, But trying to sell it, there's no way you're gonna get that 1 hour of labor you put into it back out of it when it sells. If you assume $60/hr in labor. You'd have to get at least $65 out of it to make a profit. like you said, no one is gonna want to pay $40.00 for it lol. That's a nice little blower though. It's great for porches, patios, grass, but nothing really heavy. Awesome video, as usual, sir! Thank you!

This was interesting. The time and money you had to put into it has some value, in that you were able to produce this good content for your channel. But otherwise, fixing and flipping this on its own merits might not be worthwhile, especially based on what you mentioned shortly after the 3 minute mark - the starter rope was weak in retracting, and looked a little frayed in some sections, so wondering if you had to put more time or money into fixing that. One way this might pay off for you is if you can do something like I did one time. A guy came to my house and worked hard to remove a large tree stump from my yard. This was back in the 90's, and I had a 2 cycle bricktop engine type of Lawn Boy mower which I had cobbled together from 2 wrecks, and I was not using. So I gave it to the tree guy as a tip for his hard work, and he loved it. So maybe some day, someone will make a delivery or do some work at your home, and you want to give a tip, and this little leaf blower might make someone happy.

These were great blowers if taken care of. An update on my poulan Pro rebuild. Everything is working great. Only thing that I need to pick up is some synthetic two cycle oil. Normally I pick it up full synthetic oil at Walmart for about 1.00. However I was surfing amazon but All I could find in Bulk is synthetic blend oil. I have noticed that almost all oil is now a "Blended Mixture" Same goes with motor oil. I have noticed that all conventional oils are labeled as a Synthetic Blend.

If you have a timing light for a car, & 12v power source, you can use a car timing light to check the spark. Don't need to take the plug lead off.

    • @HomeGaragechannel

It depends how the engine reacts, which is something I can't judge, However I turn the L screw counter clockwise, Half a turn , and the the Idle set screw, clockwise, a bit because the engine is going to slow down, due to the extra fuel at idle.

I had a weed eater brand blower one time and it ate up the cylinder and piston. I replaced them but it ate them up, again, after a few months. I junked it and bought a good, new, Stihl blower. I ran the weedeater with good 40:1 mixed oil. It was just a poorly made piece of equipment. This was 30 years ago and it was just another $69 blower.
