This video is interesting because as a kid I was fascinated with the streetlights. And as I gotten older I'm now fascinated with the Metal-Halide & Mercury Vapor Bulbs. It's interesting you went and got a streetlight and put together a Metal-Halide Ballast with selection of Bulbs.
I definitely love watching your cool street lamp videos & especially the new General Electric street lamp in your collection anyhow keep up the good work
This General Electric, M-400A must be in the between late 1969 to 1985, since the location to put the photo cell is at the back of the street light fixture. From 1986 to early 2000s, they still make the same type of fixture, except for two minor changes and retained the two separate doors (one for changing the bulb, and the other one for the ballast for maintenance work) one is they moved the location of the photo cell to the center of the fixture and the redesigned latch for the door by identified by two "bumps" on the front of this type of fixture. I preferred the 1959 to the late 1970s, as well as M-400R Series from 1986 to 1995 as of single door street light fixtures of that era.
Hi, this street lamp was of the most employed luminaire in the Mexico city avenues and highways with a 250watt HPS lamp. For Lumisistemas was named how Cromalite400 model. They were one of my most favorites luminaire equipment for your design and easy access individual to the lamp and ballast components, the other favorite was Cromalite 250 that was used in secondary and residential streets with 100watt HPS bulbs. AXA Lumisistemas was disappeared probably in 2020 and all of your luminaire models were acquired by Sola Basic. Regards from Monterrey Mexico and thanks for share this. You have nice luminaire.
Saludos feliz navidad 2020.

Happened exactly the same to me! I loved M400As since I was a little kid, and now I got the opportunity to have one myself!
Great seeing another lighting channel. I've got an M400A3, but I've always wanted a 1980s style M400
Thanks! Hope we get to see your lamp one day!
