@@ck516 I think, that it's reversed video . Like he filmed the part, where he assemble disassembled new phone, then he broke it and hid it, then he digged it away from mud. So, broken phone at the beginning isn't working phone from the end.

at 11:43 you can see that he breaks the back of the phone trying to put it in, makes a small crack, and at 1:04 you can see the same crack, so he films the cell tidy then throws it in the trash and films it later, and the hole under the volume knobs has magically disappeared
