There was a new agreement you needed to sign, about 3 months ago. They warned if you didn't agree would lose monetization and have to reapply. They gave 90 days to do it. Just reapply.
It's much deeper than that i'm afraid. After finally getting through to an 'account specialist' 5 or s emails in at Google i was told that 'i can no longer monetise my channel, reapply for monetization or use my name or address to monetise any other channel i may start in the future.' Crazy! Again no reason given just 'breach of terms & conditions, our decision is final' sucks...
@@expatnam - These platforms have incredible power and are literally driving the global narrative ! Seriously makes me want to turn TH-cam off. I dropped traditional mainstream media a few years ago, it’s even worse ! The solution to the brainwash is to unplug. Just got to figure out how to get there ! 🌴☀️

Sorry to hear the TH-cam bots are giving you grief. I'm a westerner living in California, and married to a young lady from Hanoi. I've had the opportunity to visit Hanoi (and nearby) with her, but frequently found myself at loss understanding what the heck was going on around me; despite her efforts to explain. I greatly enjoy your videos and feel they've at times sort of helped me get on the same page with her. It's one thing to be immersed in a new culture, and an entirely different one when someone cares to explain what it's all about. Also of note, I've shared some of your, perhaps slightly more blunt observations (e.g., all of the construction) with my Vietnamese wife, and she has always agreed; no offense taken. Please keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing you again very soon!

Went to Da Nang on your recommendation and love the place met a lot of awesome people nothing wrong with your channel hope all goes well the thing that surprised me the most was the look of shop owners when i would produce my reusable plastic / light weight material shopping bag the other was the tourist price gap bought one item on sale had a sign 50% off for a new phone charger but was charged full price instead due to frustration with language barrier paid full price .
haha yes, i go into the supermarket here with my 'shopping bag' but the security insists they take it off me and put it into a locker. I try to explain that it's empty and it's actually for my shopping, but zero logic so always end up with loads of plastic bags each time!

Hi Chris, good to see another video from you. To be honest, I was already a bit concerned about your well-being. Vietnam can be a rough place and several risk factors (e.g. the traffic madness) can cause severe problems. I watched most of your videos and I was never under the impression that you said or filmed something what I deemed as inappropriate or without respect. Irrelevant of what triggered this blocking incident it is concerning. I am doubting that a Vietnamese influence was behind this decision. If that should be the case, then the Google management might have sold its soul. I assume that this was just a technical overreaction. I am looking forward to watch more upcoming videos from you and one day I will make a trip from North-Vietnam to Da Nang and then I'll invite you to some beers (or something else).

Your posts have always been impartial and honest. I think you only need one person to get upset and complain and maybe that's what happened. Seems unfair as I've enjoyed your posts which have been fair and informative and useful to anyone visiting Vietnam. Don't get upset and carry on the beneficial reportage.

Thats so harsh, i have seen it happen to some other youtubers to. They spend so much time on filming, eding and growing, then suddenly youtube close their ad revenue...... Maybe youtube just dont want ppl to be real and 100% honest, they wanne create a instagram kinda world.... fakeness....

Your channel seems more balanced than other monetized channels about Vietnam, so I can't imagine that is the reason.
I can't figure it out. Maybe i was spammed by someone and that got it cancelled. The way TH-cam dealt with it though was very poor indeed.
Hope you manage to get the monetization sorted out.... Gamer Abroad in the comments saying you should re-apply, might work if it was a new agreement. Hope you continue with the videos as I love hearing about Danang and the more info I get before moving, the better. Cheers!

perhaps, China's influence and trend, I don't know if you've noticed majority of the bloggers in China tend to focus on the positive sides of China, they talk how wonderful China is, China has achieved this and that, ... only a few bloggers really have guts to b1atch about China :)
Ye it's interesting. I am mainly positive about Vietnam and have helped some people move here etc. and just touch on some of the bad stuff, i think there's much worse vloggers here than me!
Can you evade potential censorship with a vpn? Can’t see any reason why you would have been censored anyway because your to reasonable. Maybe some other strange reason.

That's the thing such a small channel but it's very strange-my content isn't bad or controversial. Perhaps i was just spammed by someone. TH-cam won't tell you though, censorship and control!
