Its always a pleasure to see a great artist perform live. Not many realise that. I think after a point he got sick of seeing so many cellphones up in the air. And asked the audience to wave their hands. Handing waving in the air or just nodding heads taking in the music is a much more pleasurable sight.

I don't get the cellphone recording. If you have to have a live footage by any means necessary, then you're not a true fan (plus you can watch it like on YT in HD - duh?) Like people watching their phone (plus vertically tilted) instead of feeling the musician and his/her music. It's really sad view plus in case of this kind of a stage when the performer and hid band is the closest possible to the audience - extra sad view :(
