I have no idea why it is so difficult to understand what people want. Actually build these & sell them for less than a house. They wouldn’t be able to make them fast enough.
Make it without the BS that seems to break a lot and magnify the cost. a plain steering wheel, simple AM/FM radio with a CD player option and a place to install the "upgraded system. a simple speaker system instead of a rolling concert hall. GM, simplify the truck, make it a less standard EVERYTHING and go with a longer option list.
Don't believe any of this. A couple of decades ago Chevrolet brought out the SSR. It had cues from trucks of the early 1950's styling. It had the biggest engine, a retractable hardtop, lowered stance, huge tires and flared rear fenders, a bed cover to protect the carpeted bed. It was not a sales success. If they had made an affordable version that wasn't as low, had a 4.3 V6 standard and a small V8 option, a normal cab and bed, they could have sold twice as many of those while keeping what they chose to produce as the aspirational truck. If they ever did make this truck, the dealerships would price gouge it out of production.
Yes please I love the vintage look and the retro mod capability. If you like it too maybe look for a GM in the late 80's early 90's that has TBI. Easy start, fun to drive, simple to work on, and capable trucks. I have an 88' that is a blast to parade. It's no where near perfect, but people still love it and will strike up a convo. Simple, affordable, and capable...
It's funny! As a kid growing up during the 70' (born in '67), I love the body styles anywhere from the late 40' up to the square body GM's of the 80's (had a '76 1/2 ton that was hot rodded a little). I now have a '98 extended GMC 1/2 ton Sierra which, I got a good deal on in 2015. I have made some good money on scrap over the years, hauling it with this truck, and look at it as nothing special. However, I've had at least half a dozen young people give me the thumbs up and even a young guy offer to buy it as though it is something special. I had a cheap body job done to it as the bottom of the body edges were rotting, and had flat black stone guard sprayed so it doesn't look like crap, as new trucks, even used 10-15 year old trucks are bat sh** crazy in price! Funny how the younger ones think the "older" body styles are cool looking when I don't see a lot of difference!
If you go to Brazil, Chile or Argentina, you can buy 65, 66, and 67 Ford Mustang look a likes! Ford actually sold copies of their molds and cuts when Ford moved back north!
On the side bar to this video, I see something about a 2025 Chevy Bel Air. I can't say this truck is entirely fictional as there is a company in California (I think) who made a replica and limited production run of a '70 Chevelle based on a '20's Camaro body that looks pretty cool, but WAY TOO PRICEY, starting at around $150,000 for a base model!
It looks to me like a shell of a classic that cost more than a house of the 60's. Even if I had the budget for it, I can not see me thrifty self paying THAT much for a mere copy of a classic.
If this video was true, now we can understand the reasons GM is going broke. The consumer will never see this one waiting in the dealer show room. EPA and DOT would never give this truck a pass. Just another wet dream for the car nuts.
Everything went downhill when I heard the words turbo. Why is it nobody gets a good regular engine that will last a while without wearing itself to death.
The style of this truck FAR outshines the blah, cookie cutter designs that are so prevalent in the current, new vehicles. The retro style wheel would look MUCH better in my humble opinion.
“...modern lead...” AI announcing for LED tail lights. Another not-gunna-happen marketing research vid (w/chat?)? Looks a lill better than the stang I just looked @. Drop all the extras (10 speed, adaptive, 4WD, etc) to lower the price to just frnt WD. Interior’s good (& I ride solo so 2dor’n bench seat is better’n ‘fine’). Tire/wheel, low stance’s all good. Bed’n back’s good. Frnt vent window's G R E A T. Fenders/overall (frnt, side, back, 3/4s) look’s good...
If GM would build this , it would be a huge success !!

GMC needs to build it

Maybe that is why Elon at Tesla avoided Dealerships!
Ain"t that the truth
I have a pickup likeness just like that in a shed, same color too and to correct you, it is not from the sixties, but the late 40's and early 50's.
'49 & '50, maybe '51 as well.
Yup
It would be Great if they did bring out more of these!! A Boy Can Dream….
Wow . . . WOW!! This is one awesome retromod truck!
This is really cool - a throw back to vintage trucks! If you’re a collector, its a must have! 😊
I would buy a truck exactly like the video ! Awesome looking , it has everything i want !
I love to have one of those trucks, providing it's not made out of paper thin aluminum foil.

Großartig.❗😳 😲 🤩
So will it have a 4X4 and be atlest as high as the Silverado 4X4.
Everybody clamoring for this thing, build it, I will buy it!!!!!! Forget about the SSR?
Needs a state of the art interior.
Love it
This truck is awesome I would love one of these .where do I go to order one ?? It absolutely beautiful cheers Larrysullivan
Next will be the 55 & 56 Chevy and the 68 fast back mustang,70's Nova, I loved my 52 ford pu,love to have another one!

For that money, I'd go buy an original, numbers matching REAL '70 Chevelle or an original '69 numbers matching Yenko Chevelle with a 427!
AWESOME
Do you have a 1953 Ford F 100
I wish they would build this
Looks like a concept to me.
I would buy one in a “heartbeat beat of America “ 👍👍👍
I would love to see Ford and other makers do this.
One word why not, retooling.
This is all BS.
Yep
It's completely stupid!!! Rear seat?? Cup holders?? LOL ridiculous!!
I would by one today if available but it's not and will never be 🙉🇺🇸
OF COURSE it is! STUPID-ASS AI voiceover! AI =BS!
Well, they missed the decade
HERMOSA CAMIONETA 😍 CUANDO ESTARÁ DISPONIBLE 😍 LES MANDÓ UN CORDIAL SALUDO 👋🏻 Y UN FUERTE ABRAZO 🤗 DESDE PUEBLA 😄 MÉXICO 😃👍👌😍👋🏻🇲🇽.
Es hecha en la compu y no es real. Ya esta disponible en nuestros suenios.
At least the idea is out there
Chevy comes to their senses and maybe we will see the Elcamino back in production . Its a No brainer, everyone wants a truck today .
The El Camino is in production with 2025 SS models.
If true, I would order one today! Tell me where?
Can you get them with 4x4 drive
AWD was mentioned in the video
If they made this with a naturally aspirated V8 for under $50K they wouldn't be able to make them quick enough.
It's really annoying that the AI reader makes so many cadence and pronunciation errors that could easily be rectified by the use of punctuation.
OUT FREAKIN STANGING!
Reminiscent of 50's not the 60's. Never let a computer narrate, not if its important.
Where do I sign up ? ❤
Nice
NICE! EV? Love to see 1960-66 4x4 panel truck with a flip top for overlanding.
love it
Chevy was supposed to come out with a 10 thousand dollar truck but that didn't happen
It looks to me like a shell of a classic that cost more than a house of the 60's. Even if I had the budget for it, I can not see me thrifty self paying THAT much for a mere copy of a classic.
My first truck was a 53 . Just when i swore i would n̈ever buy another gm this pulls me back
Where’s the rear seat? Keep talking about it but no pics!
He'll ya i would buy this. Love it
Click bait should be a felony.
Please Build this vehicle. I will order one in a minute.
This truck is so fucking sweet
Now do a modern 72' GMC Jimmy.
It's called in the advertising world running it up the flagpole and see how she flies
Wish it was real I would definitely buy one if it was a good price not a outrageous price like the trucks are today
Legroom?
Make one, exactely like they were made in the fifties and sell them for 5 000 dollars !
This looks like an artists rendition or a customized version.
Price..
Rear seat???
I want the 'Six' with the 'Stick Shift!'
Beautiful. But It is screaming for 4 doors.

I want one in a 3500 hd to pull my fifthwheel with.........
No airbags. This is someone's wet dream, not a new offering.
Agreed! Clickbait we fell for.
Get inline!
Spelling lb. and ft. and not saying foot pounds of torque? Not American produced add. A.I. ?
Everything went downhill when I heard the words turbo. Why is it nobody gets a good regular engine that will last a while without wearing itself to death.
...BOTH rows of seating...?
It would be hard to drive a fantasy truck don’t think it’ll ever be built.
Always believe something will happen if you truly want it. That way, your dreams will become a reality
Just a thought 🤔
Air bags? Stupid video
He said 60s but that 50 styling
Gas saving 5.3 will eat your wallet in repair bills.
The style of this truck FAR outshines the blah, cookie cutter designs that are so prevalent in the current, new vehicles. The retro style wheel would look MUCH better in my humble opinion.
Could you guys just send your videos to GM... maybe they haven't even thought of it yet?
The old trucks were not low riders! They had good ground clearance. It this new truck is that low, it is a bust BEFORE you go any further. It is DOA.

from the 50's ,,,, not the 60's
