      @@hanswurstusbrachialus5213 this comment was not about dissolving, it was about the pearls sinking to the bottom. Adding them when the resin is a bit thicker could help. Bubbles shouldn't be too much of a problem, since it goes into the pressure chamber anyways. A better solution would be to mix smaller batches and pour layers once the layer below is semi-set.

      @Stroke It He has a pressure chamber where the existing bubbles are "squished together until they're too small to see" instead of" overexpanded until they pop"
      This means that the resin doesn't expand as it would under vacuum and the container doesn't overflow. Just add pressure and keep it pressurized until it's cured.

    What a beautiful funky pot, Nick ! I’ve been binge watching your videos every night for 3 weeks now, admiring your creativity and enjoying your funny waffling 😊. I was wondering if the wax you’re using was enough to seal and protect the different materials you use inside the resin from rottening, disolving, and so on. Like for example, if the milkshake pot was put into water, would the tiny little milkshake beads on the surface melt ? Thank you so much for sharing your amazing art and take care !

    You could do another one, turn it to shape and hollow it out, sand it but don't put any finish on it, then, soak it in milk. All the exposed beads would disolve and it could be an interesting outcome. Maybe just a daft idea but the result would be interesting..

  • @bishipc117
    @bishipc117 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nick why don’t you try soaking them in one part of the Epoxy and see what that does. not both parts. Maybe you can get it to mix with one because you can let it sit for three or four days and then you can mix in the hardener. Maybe that will work. And what if your finished pot gets wet.

    It would be a cool build to make a jig that takes your pressure pot and slowly tumbles it so that items could stay in suspension rather than settling to the bottom. You would need a top on the mold too

    Very cool as always man. I look forward to watching your videos when I see them pop up. I hope to see some more funky stuff soon. How about maybe some colorful straws I think that would look really cool. You can get a silicone ice cube tray (the tiny ones. Like a 1/4 inch) and make a bunch of tiny colorful cubes. I think that would look really cool to make something out of that. Take the bunch of colorful cubes and put it into clear resin. Give it a "Bash". Thanks for the great videos buddy.

    You could see in the slow-mo that the beads are separating from the resin and I thought to myself 'that things gonna dissolve as soon as he hits it with the water and micro mesh' and lo and behold......confirmation of my summation. Could you possibly paint on a layer of clear resin to seal it all in and then polish it up?

    • @2H80vids
      @2H80vids 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't think of using the resin, I was wondering about a coat of clear varnish. If anyone was to wash it, it might start dissolving.

  • @leniere309

    I really like this one especially the lid, would be nice if you could get the same effect all the way down.
    Just an idea, you could mix them in water as a thick paste lay them out in a try to dry, once completely dry break them in to pieces and tile them as layers into another tray or container and work from there.
    Cheers, really enjoy your videos.
