    Hi MMatt. I have been watching many of your videos. They are really amazing. I also own a small plane and I'm planning to land on my property, but it has a small inclination on the terrain. What sould I be aware of before trying to take off of a runway with an inclination to the right or left?

    Hi, thanks for sharing the video. I’m about to purchase a Quicksilver. Can you tell me what tires you have for safe beach landings? Any tips for beach landings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

      Mine are not ideal for beach landings but I make it work. Get big fat ones! The biggest and fattest that you can afford that will fit on your plane. Land close to the water if you can where the sand is packed down a bit more. Try to drive to the beach and walk it first if you can. Watch for rocks, driftwood, and sun bathers. LOL! (Also make sure it's legal where you are)

    Can Beaver be equipped to land on water ? ( amphibious) ?

    • @mmatt
      @mmatt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. There are many Beavers equipped with floats and many people prefer them that way.

    Is the manufacturer of Beaver located in Canada ? What Is approximate price of Beaver ( 3 bldeas Rotax 503 and water landing capable as well ) ? If I buy one from Canada, must pay taxes and register it in U.S. ?

      The Beaver is no longer in production. Many used models are still on the market though. There's talk that it may be in production again sometime but no one is sure when yet or if it's even true.

    Awesome, also, i watched your prop and fuel video. Nice work with the main fuel tank pumping to the wing tanks, ingenious. Do the wing tanks just gravity feed to the engine? Or does the engine have some sort of engine driven fuel pump?

    • @mmatt
      @mmatt  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a pulse pump powered by a vacuum line which is connected to the engine. Dead simple, inexpensive, and very reliable. Even so, I switch it out for a new one every other year. I'm toying with the idea of adding an electric auxiliary pump but the jury's still out on that yet.

    Matt, you installed a prop balancer, but I never heard how it did. What was/is your finding about it’s value?

    • @mmatt
      @mmatt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just recently removed it and noticed no difference in vibration whatsoever.
