Great job getting a governor/coach to interview. My football coach was one of the most accomplished coaches in highschool football. He was also my Algebra teacher. Our field is named for him. Jack Streidel field. I often wonder if people like Rich and Tim know who he is. Thanks for this conversation, Rich. I'll watch twice as much as my already astounding level of watchitude concerning your channel.

I have no interest in voting for Harris/Walz but that was an entertaining interview. You can have great conversations with people who you politically disagree with - they aren’t some sort of villain. That’s the problem with political discourse today. I also dislike Trump but I would love to hear his thoughts on golf and the old USFL.

Six months ago this would have been an interview with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz but today it's with VP Candidate Tim Walz. There is a big difference. Yes this conversation doesn't get into politics so Walz comes across as just a normal guy talking football. But that's part of a good campaign. When running for office you want to make public appearances where you come across as just a normal down-to-earth person. This is almost certainly a calculated interview to help boost Walz's image in the public eye to help get him and Harris elected. His handlers were probably thinking "we need Tim to appear on some football podcast and show off his coaching credentials" and this show obliged.
