  • Christine and I lay out our goals for 2024. We cover the races we are entering or not entering for this year and some changes coming to our mountain bike schedule.

    Husband and I set a goal of walking/hiking 1000 miles this year. We are chubby, 50+, retirees, and we are currently on track!

      That’s amazing! She inspired me & my first goal is 100 miles for 6 months. Maybe in a few years-1000!

    My goal this year was to Summit Mt. St. Helens in the snow. I trained for it for two months and just finished it last week, strong and fast. I wasn’t even sore the following days. So proud! Your goals are giving me further inspiration for the year!

    2024 goals: Ran first trail run event, running first marathon in May, trail ultra this fall (barely over marathon distance). Get a bunch of small PR’s like running 5k within 30 minutes, 2:40 half, etc. Improved my pacing and nutrition. Trying to improve my injury prevention dealing with runners knee. Lots of exciting new things.

    Like I have said before....a family that plays together stays together. I love watching these videos of you two together! What an amazing example you are to young couples ❤ Thank you for our inspiration! My goal for the year is not lofty but it is to get outside and move more 🤷‍♀️ You have to start somewhere 🙂

    Our goals is just to be active and stay fit.
    I do have one goals for myself, I'm doing the HYROX NY in June and I went to get my time down a bit from D.C in March 2:28:28 at least get it to 2 hours.

    Love this, this level of activity is not in my future. But I sat on the floor and played with my baby and stretched the whole time the video was playing. You two are great motivators and positive influences. Good luck and have fun this year!

    2024 goals- more mountain biking, more hiking!!(hard to do in S.Florida) but will be making a lot of trips to NC . Was that snow ?? Omg its been in the 80s (always) here.

    I am also just getting over a hip injury - hoping to get back to cycling but I'm terrified to set any goals. My goal is to just get back to 10000 steps a day - Love all your goals and wishing you lots of luck!!! I know you can do it

    My goals are consistency-based. Total Peloton minutes, consistent strength programs are my two biggest. Also, I want to do an in-person race for the first time since 2017.

    I love that you have personal goals and family goals. My personal goals include hiking portions of the Appalachian Trail in each state. We checked off Connecticut last year, and plan to check off Massachusetts this year. Also hiking the New England Trail (which goes North-South from the coast, through CT, and across MA to the northern state line. I force my 8 & 10 yr old sons to hike with me, so the 'number of miles' goals don't work as well as the specific trail goals do. We are also planning to tent camp at least 4 times this summer. We are currently saving for a travel trailer similar to yours, cause this mama is tired of walking across campground in the middle of the night to use the bathroom!! 😉😁 I'd love to see more videos about your camping adventures and how you keep camping frugal.

    I hit a big goal when I turned 50 and pulled 305 on a hexbar deadlift. But now I am floundering a bit and not sure what to focus on for this year. I need ideas!

    I'm changing to braces that I'll have more movement. So I'll need to learn to move in them. My SDIT and I are learning to ride /run with my trike. Get my SDIT trained.
