    Wow, it's amazing how much they've grown! You're doing such a great job with them.

    Have I ever said thanks for documenting all of this? Because that's pretty freaking awesome. I'm in month two of my betta-research mania. I've given myself a year to learn everything that I can. And while text is helpful, I really love watching your video's because they're casually chalk-full of information. That and I really love hearing from people who are passionate about what they do.

    Hey creative pet keeping!! I wish you goodluck for the baby fry, I am sure you are a great nanny/caretaker ( I probably shouldn't say mommy if you know what i mean )!! I would love to have another betta but my parents couldn't bear for me to get another animal after the 6 I already have! And hope you feel better soon. :D

    Did you buy that thin syphon that you use for fry water changes or did you make it. If you bought it can you give the link and if you make it can you explain how?

    I've always wanted a koi betta, right now I have a veiltail male which is blue. I was just wondering if I can put any guppies in with him or none ever, I've seen a couple of videos saying you can and can't. I want your intake on it!

      Emily McDonald Hello! Not a problem, thank you for the novel of a response it helps a lot! He is pretty friendly from what I've seen not aggressive with food and swims up to the tank when I walk in my room! I was thinking of getting 5 just in case I have too return them to the store if it doesn't work out. Hopefully it does, I was thinking of getting them in about 2 weeks and doing more research. Also do you think a ten gallon is okay to start adding fish with my betta in it? Thanks again and plz responed!!!

      you'll actually find guppies are known fin nippers. Bettas usually won't harass other fish (unless they're unusually aggressive, but even saying that I have a male that is very aggro but passive to other fish), just their own genus. As long as they have enough room and flora you'll often be fine.

    • @CreativePetKeeping
      @CreativePetKeeping  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Emily answered this question pretty well. It depends on the individual fish. I've kept guppies and bettas for years with no problem from either the betta or the guppies but I tend to try and pick very mellow males. Be sure to have a breeding container on hand to slowly introduce them and separate if things don't work out. For me it takes about 1-2 weeks for a male betta to adjust to guppies.

      Hmmm...In my country we usually use a bottle and the tank (aquarium). The aquarium fill with male Berta and the female betta is in the bottle. we put the bottle inside the aquarium to reduce the possibility Betta fight. After 2-3 days the male Betta will make bubble nest and reduce their agresivity. after that we put the female Betta to the aquarium and wait until the Betta are breeding. it takes more faster than the other techniques and reduce the male or female betta die after breeding because before or after breeding the betta will come to the 'beast' mode again right, especially the male betta :)
      I just wanna share this and I hope this technique will be successful in your country :)

    So fun to think that my betta used to look like that, he sadly has ick rn but he's slowly getting better and may survive which I'd be very surprised about, but you never know 😄

      MurphyandLilly -Would you mind if I asked how your treating him for ick? My fish had ick a couple months ago, and the way I treated for it was really easy, cost effective and efficient. It only took about a week and cost 54 cents.

    • @CreativePetKeeping
      @CreativePetKeeping  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am going to be selling some. I can't do a raffle because they are live animals vs. objects that can be prizes.. so that means they can't just go to a random home. I hope that makes sense. :)

    In case your didn’t know. What I do for betta fry water changes is use airline tubing but add an airstone on the end so none of the fry get sucked up! Also my fry are 15 days old and are only around 4-5mm, should I be concerned?
