Maomao's "classes" bit kills me every time, particularly because of the reactions. Loulan is ambivalent. Lishu's soul leaves her body twice. Lihua is engaged but trying to hide it, and then Gyokuyou's response is "oh I am ALL about this kink stuff." All taught by a character who has little to no actual interest in sexuality herself, which is kind of wild.
Since I always love pointing this out: One thing that CR’s subtitles don’t make explicit during the Lishu explanation back in ep6 is that after the old emperor died, she would’ve been sent off to a temple, as was standard practice IRL for a concubine in her situation. Meaning Maomao’s giving this lecture not just to a sheltered middle-school-aged girl, but to a former NUN.
More than a puppy buffed Lihaku is like a mountain shepperd dog that fight against bears 💪 And poor Lishu, the special lesson was a little too much for her 😅
Anna thinking Loulan is putting on an excess amount of makeup to potentially hide something is pretty insightful. Hopefully she'll remember that for season 2.

I love how invested both of you are in all the characters. It just makes me giddy whenever you point out a character or squint in suspicion at one.
