Your favorite client is back with more eruptions than ever. After being away for a few months, she has returned with a horror story about her prescribed treatment. She seems to think that her dermatitis treatment is taking her hair out! I could definetly see a big change in her texture and the density of volume has decreased drastically. Se also thinks that her sweat from her workout is causing the flare ups to become more irritated as she works on her total body health. I recorded alot of her aidio this visit so please watch this delightful double scratch video with the volume up. I will not be responding to questions that were answered in the video.
This is the most severe i've ever seen her scalp. She came during mothers day weekend and i was compelled to help my friend. I can assure if ANYONE else would have walked in with this exact issue, I would have turned them away until it got better.
I had the pleasure of introducing you to my new "toy" the Aquatic Mister from ovahhair. My favorite GET MADE scalp therapy shampoo system from KTaylor Hair, ironically called Put On Ice. 10% off with this discount code 2much10... she said she’s running low on oil this week.
The cream shampoo and gentle exfoliator from Chloe dixon-Roberson called Clean Slate. You can find each of these products through their facebook links.

As always Thank You for your view, and BE NICE!!
I’m one of the people who likes to see the scalp get cleaned and treated AND the hair get washed and styled. It’s satisfying to see her look all pretty in the end.
Watching the shampoo was SO relaxing
London Woodfolk great deep sleep remedy
I love a before and after. Getting to watch the whole process is magic in my eyes.
It’s an amazing transformation, I love watching the before and after! And it makes me so happy to know those women can have so much more confidence as a result!
The world needs more hairstylists like you. You're knowledgeable and you care about your clients. And yes at the Argan Oil. I use Argan Oil on my skin and scalp. And if the gloves are interfering with your greatness ditch them. This condition is not contagious. It is an Autoimmune disorder.
I think she knows that its not contagious but some people complain and tell her to wear gloves.
Argan oil has a lot of Oleic acid in it. I have dermatitis, and my scalp flares up when I use it on the roots. I can only use Castor oil, Coconut oil, and Grapeseed oil.
@@UsulPrincess castor oil is what I use, too. It has helped my exzema a lot. Also helped my eyelashes and eyebrows to grow back in and they are fuller.
You are correct. I've been treated horribly for my psoriasis by so many hair dressers. It's hurtful and embarrassing .i was well aware of how it looked but to be made to feel as if I was contagious or a nasty person. It kept me from going to salons to get my hair done for years until I became an adult. As an adult I could tell people off and take up for myself. Now I use my past hurt to educate others so nobody has to go through what I did.
I use Coal Tar, Coal Tar Distillates, Sulfonamides, Selenium Sulfates. Seems to keep them at bay.
Her hair and scalp was gorgeous when she was coming to you regularly. I hope she keeps coming back again
🗣️ EXACTLY ✌🏾
Ugh, I feel relieved seeing you getting all those flakes off. Her scalp must feel so much fresher and less irritated for her after you're done. I only just discovered your channel but I'm loving your work!
As a person who suffers from seborrheic dermatitis, it's great to know there are hairdressers like you who truly care about their clients and take the time to listen to them and help them get through their struggles. Also, sometimes us as clients, we don't always see what exactly is going on on our heads/scalps and hairdressers can alert us with their concerns if any.
It’s a known fact that eczema and psoriasis are linked with gluten intolerance, it took two weeks of being 100% gluten free for all the sores to begin to heal, and after four months all I have left is pigmentation spots where the eczema used to be, I hope that in one year all the spots will also disappear.
Coal tar, and pine tar shampoo worked for me, been free of it mostly for now 20yrs. I hope it may work for others, best of luck.
Even without skin/scalp conditions, I have mad respect for black women/girls cuz their hair takes so much upkeep no matter the style.
Same, I had a friend on grade school and she would braid my hair every day, she said she liked to practice on me. She said she would do her sisters hair. It was soooo pretty, like gorgeous in my auburn colored hair. I miss her. She was black and I’m white btw
It really does
AAYYYEE THANKS SO MUCH SAME RESPECT
Not all black hair. I wear natural and it has a nice curl with shampoo, conditioner and curl cream. Easy. If I want it straight i just have it flat ironed.
I hope she doesn't relax her hair.
we need more dermatologists and skin specialists of color.
Yes I think that people of color aren’t represented in doctors and I’m a true believer that sometimes there is a difference. Just like I prefer a woman Gyn Doctor because they experience what women go through!
Jo Ann S Look harder. If it is important you’ll find one or maybe a friend can recommend. Otherwise, med school.
We need more People of color in everything tbh
Exactly! Still, being white, I have seen white people failed by a Derm.
Wow does race always have to be a factor???
Wow! You are truly an educator. I am in awe of your knowledge, compassion, and techniques.
Right!...She is so amazing!!!
YES!! She is a special person!!
This is amazing, this is beyond just styling someones hair this is truly taking care of her hair we need more stylists like this
Now that's hair care.
I’ve noticed( and envy) that black people have a close, personal relationship with their stylists- it’s not just business- like. They actually have concern with the emotional aspect of the client.♥️ love that. PS You could have been a doctor-but you are so awesome at what you do!!
1+++++a
I have scalp psoriasis, and wish I had a place I could to and get "de-scaled" but I don't think I've ever seen a white hairdresser do anything close this. At least none that I know of. It's embarrassing, I've had to learn how to cut and die my own hair because of it.
@@Theuse2bee oh sweetie! I admire you, you figured-out how to do for yourself! That’s impressive, most people complain or blame their situation on someone else- but not you!
Yuurrp u have 1 hair stylist/barber 1 nail person and only a back up you go to probably twice a year under emergencies 😂
Thats not just a "black thing". I live in an almost all white area, my kids and i have that relationship with our hair salon and our dentist.
I love that you didn't want do color and was honest with her
I came on here to do some research before purchasing a smartwatch and earbuds.... but then I saw this notification. It took me til near the end of this video to even remember why I pulled up TH-cam in the first place.
R. DaNell DOWN THE RABBIT 🐇 HOLE 🐇THAT IS TH-cam😂
You really gave her great advice. I think it's important for her to work out too. You're absolutely right in telling her that she shouldn't have to sacrifice her exercise routine.
So true- especially because she said( in an earlier video) that her condition is aggravated by stress, and exercise is a stress release. Catch -22 situation- but she will find a way to balance the two.

Also the person is so professional to make her client comfortable. We need more people like her
She must feel soooo good after your treatments. I love how you care for your clients

She sure is. She needs to be cloned. One of her in every state.
Thank you so much!! I receive all those blessings love 🙌🏼 I appreciate you dearly!!! 🥰
OMG as a cosmetologist for 21 years I have never came across a scalp that bad. I guess I've been lucky but you definitely educated me on some things. Great Job!!!
Aaron Mackie Take a look at this channel Tatyana Loves, her scalp is so bad,
@@wazz1154 yes I saw her videos. Her scalp was bleeding. She could never receive service in a hair Salon. I would definitely recommend a dermatologist for her smh
Aaron Mackie She has been to dermatologists with no improvement. 😞 Her scalp bleeds less now than before because she tries to soften her scalp. Her dandruff is like concrete.
I appreciate you buying that machine. GOD bless you.
@@frolie3207 I'd love to see what @2muchhair could do for Tatyana.
Love, love, love this video. It gave me my scratch LIFE!!! Very detailed. I also have to say that...my daughters asked me last week the difference between a hairstylist and a beautician. I had to show them this video so they could see a true beautician at work. You’re so attentive to your clients needs.
This client is so beautiful and besides the condition around her hairline her skin on her face is so smooth and flawless. God bless her for letting you share her journey with us!
Thank you for helping people with scalp conditions....
My son had the same condition on his scalp as well. Went to see a dermatologist who put him on antibiotics as well as a Keto diet. Within 6 weeks he showed a marked improvement. He works out at the gym as well so I told him to stop wearing his baseball cap and as soon as he finishes working out to shower immediately. That helped with the breakouts that were on his forehead. I'm so grateful that this woman is courageous enough to share her story with us because so many people suffer with this condition.
Smart to know he sees a dermatologist!
A keto diet is terrible for the body! a plant based diet and use natural hair products with all those dangerous chemicals will be FAR better for your son! that dermatologist should be struck off!
Try putting some tea tree oil in his shampoo.
Oooh, I need to try that.
It is more likely to be a fungal than a bacterial infection therefore antibiotics will be terrible for it!
Wow, I can't believe that second scratch produced so many flakes! Psoriasis is the DEVIL!
God Bless her ……. I have Psoriasis …….. no fun...…..
She missed so many flakes and scales. That's why she scratched it the second time.
Calm tf down
@@youngking2128 What are you taking about?
It is the devil
You are a top notch hair health and beauty expert. I admire your dedication.
I have the same condition. What works best is half apple cider vinegar with half water and add tree tea oil to a spray bottle then spray your scalp down and let it set for 10mins . This help kills the yeast. Then wash your hair. Do it every time you wash your hair and you will see a big difference. Use baby oil or mineral oil on your scalp. All the other oils will make the yeast grow which creates the problem. It took a while for me to learn this lesson and you can do your research on it. It’ll tell you the same thing.
Shes kinds like the "dr pimple popper" of the hairstylist world tbh
I was thinking that!
Yeah fr
Dr scalp scratcher 💀
She works harder for sure.

I am curious how much service like this would cost. What ever $$ you are worth every penny!! Chile, you are a miracle worker. Hope the client stays steady with her appointments. Great job!
God bless people wit psoriasis honestly cuz I’d prolly go crazy if I had that omg
Niyaa Nadiaa Me too. D:
Same, so much respect for people who go through stuff like that!
I have it
It's so bad girl I have it and it gets in places you would never think of🙃😦😧 I finally got into a dermatologist shit helped alot. Clebatsol oil and aquaphor spray. Plus it itches hardcore
I’ve had it as long as I can remember and I’m 57 now. Trust me, there are much worse diseases.
I can only imagine what relief your clients must get after the treatment.
You’re amazing.
I’ve suffered with this condition for years and it’s so dreadful, so sore, so disabling at times, it can make you want to hide away. Thank God for the professionals like you who take care to get us right, it means more than you’ll ever know and you ARE RARE.
Thankfully I found a natural solution that’s been working amazing for me and things are under great control, at my worst, my forehead and scalp would be similar to this and leaking and sore. Diet and exercise (walking up to 10 miles) a day have helped mentally and physically and drinking plenty water.
I pray for healing for this lady and that God continues to bless you and all those you bless with your care and craft 🙌🏿
its so sad how she goes through the most with her hair. She is also blessed to have such a nice hair dresser.
Omg...you are so knowledgeable....thats why i love watching you.
She shouldnt be worrying about coloring her hair. Her scalp is agitated, but you did a great job. Shampoo my hair
Actually I have psoriasis on the scalp and I still dye my hair. I only use organic dye. I don't like ammonia...
As a licensed professional you can still dye the hair of clients that suffer from this as well as psoriasis as long as there isn’t any open sores. But me personally I don’t because of liability reasons
Agreed.
Did you watch the whole video?
Does she not have the same fears /right to worry about her appearance as women without a scalp condition? If anything she is under more pressure to present herself as well as possible precisely because she has the scalp issue.
I wonder am i the only one who watch her videos. And get sleepy like it’s my damn hair. 🤦🏽♀️ lol but i love every minute of it

I never knew a beautician to take so much care and time with the hair and scalp, you are a God sent!
My Auntie never had any skin conditions until she got pregnant with my cousin. Her head and entire body has been covered in psoriasis ever since. You'r videos have helped her a lot, so thank you for making them! 💕
I'm sorry for you Auntie. Psoriasis sucks so much. And pregnancy is weird. A friend of mine developed a gluten allergy after her last pregnancy.
The hormonal changes causes breakouts
There are medicines out now that take it away. See a dermatologist.....
It was probably already in her system. Maybe she was also diagnosed with pregnancy diabetes or high blood pressure? It's a very common combination.
Have you ever considered working with a dermatologist? ( consulting /referral). It may lead to a great financial opportunity.
kssnmiss awesome suggestion 👏🏾👏🏾
Yes!! Get the best of both solutions and make things that much better for everyone!
yess that’s such a great idea !!! 💕✌🏽
My exact thoughts!!
EXACTLY because she's doing the work that a trichologist would do and her bedside manner is EVERYTHING ❣️
I like the way you explain exactly what is going on with each client at the start of each video. At every stage , you again explain why you are using one product and not the usual product. Each and every upload is explained in details and I walk away learning something new.
The seborrhea psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder . One characteristic of those types of disorders is that they will have dormant and active periods. I have also experienced things in our environment can cause it to flare up. Stress or anxiety can and has caused some of my flare ups. Also weather can affect the severity of this disorder. And finally food and allergies can affect it.
At an earlier time in my life I believe I was 18 yrs old I had seborrhea psoriasis from late summer to early winter. I was given a thick and horrible smelling ointment and some oral medication which was prednisone and came 3 days a week for sunlamp therapy treatments. It was a slow process but it worked really and I haven't had an outbreak since.
I fail to say this at the start that I had been diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systematic Lupus . They're also autoimmune disorders . But when the Dermatologist prescribed the oral medication or prednisone it helped treat both the JRA and Lupus. So I informed my Rhuematologist about the prednisone helping the other 2 conditions and the seborrhea psoriasis.
But any way thanks for your channel and God bless!
Poor lady, her skin looks so sore, I think she’s so brave allowing this to be filmed. What a lovely relationship between client and hairdresser. I love listening to you, you have such a reassuring, kind voice. It’s a pleasure to watch your videos and it’s also educational
This must be so relaxing to get done. I love when people massage my head with their fingers

The love that you are giving her hair!! I love this so much! It's so informative and helps us understand instead of turning people away out of ignorance.
We need more hair stylists like you...awesome.!!
I used to have the same problem. I changed my diet to help with controlling diabetes. Boy that made a huge difference. Now I. Only have one area. You might take a test for food allergies.
Oh that poor woman. It looks like your are helping her a lot. Bless you
Psoriasis sucks. I hope her dermatologist starts giving her the appropriate treatment(s). She's a beautiful woman. I LOVE your videos!
Steroid creams from the dermatologist will cause thinning and make your hair dry and brittle. Apple Cidar Vinegar is a natural way to clear this condition up naturally. Sulfate free products and Jamacian Black Caster Oil/Carrot oil mix on the scalp and hair to nourish. I live by this system for 6years. Worth a try 😊
The problem with this condition is what treatmment may work on one may not work on another. Yes it's an autoimmune disease but doctors don't know why it occurs. Also again different things can cause flare ups. Common things such as heat and food allergies are common causes but for example red dye may make it worse for one person and blue dye may make it worse for another. Basically they are still at the place of treating the symptoms.
Stuff they give sometimes only work for a lil while then it stops again. This is a horrible thing to live with. I was given that cream..doesn't work for me. I lost all my edges..but they are growing back now. -Nisi
Deanna Dempsey yeah, I like that she is giving solutions to help with flare ups, while not having to change her routine much. I think it just takes paying a lot of attention to individual triggers.
Wow. You’re not just a stylist with an interest in scalp conditions. You’re highly specialized! Blue light therapy and steamers and everything! Wow! Beautiful job and end result! Wow!

I have a similar condition and have spent hundreds of dollars on creams, gels, oils and sprays recommended to me by my dermatologists and sadly, most time, they didn’t really work. I’ve been using lavender scented castor oil pomade or the liquid form for several months and it works for me...no more sores, itching or flakes. I have natural hair and co-wash my hair every 2 weeks. The weekly washing for me, made my condition worse as my scalp became drier...I’m so relieved!
Such a hard decision she has to make.
I find it so unfair that she has to live with this skin condition
Star Cherry yes I agree it's very unfair! I have bad psoriasis myself and there's no cure so we have to live with this the rest of our lives! It's so embarrassing having to live with this b/c you constantly have to try and hide it,which isn't easy especially when you get it on your forehead and face! I have to use a lot of makeup to try and hide it!

I sympathise and empathise with this lady. We are coming into winter and my psoriasis is driving me crazy. I have special shampoo and conditioner but I am allergic to the coal tar so my scalp starts to heal but I have a an allergic rash. I am seeing my dermatologist next week and I will be asking about some tablet for psoriasis they are going to put on our pbs. I can’t have the injections because it has to cover 70% of my body. One of my daughters is a candidate for that. People who don’t have this complaint can’t really understand how debilitating it can be. You do a fantastic job on the scalp.😊🥰

I love how those big flakes come out, and how clean her scalp looks at the end. I can't wait for the next video of this client
I couldn’t even watch this whole thing it brought back bad childhood memories. I use to deal with issues like this, mostly allergy to dye and I started going grey at 13. But the oozing, burning, flaking, matting of the hair to my scalp. Constant steroids, washing etc. 😩 ugh.... thank you Jesus I don’t have those issues anymore and I’m happily salt and pepper... mostly grey at a young age but I have LONG beautiful natural hair. Is this the girl from her viral psoriasis flakes video?
@@drinkmorewater5341 I don't know.
It seems that the medicine she was prescribed improve her scalp condition but was thinning out her hair.
Some of the scripts damage and or changes the hair texture. I got one script called locoid that mess was pure alcohol. My stylist was like oh hell no!! You cannot use that sweety🤦🏽♀️
drink more water yes.
Awww...her hair is much less full she had so much and it was healthy looking too
The best part was when you buffed her skin with the towel. That really hit my ASMR tingles. It’d be awesome if you showed more of that in your treatment videos.
I’m late to the party on this one. My whole soul aches for this woman. When I’m having a bad psoriasis flare up the only thing that helps me is DermaSmoothe. It’s a prescription that’s suspended in peanut oil to help apply to the scalp. It needs to be on for about 8 hours to really help with the kind of plaques she has. Sometimes I have to do it overnight multiple times in a week to find relief. I’m glad you got her with the desonide cream. I hope she can use that for her forehead area. I know I get so self conscious when a flare up ends up affecting my face like that. Ugh! My heart is really going out to this woman. I hope she’s able to find some relief and she stays consistent on the phototherapy! You are so amazing for your patience and attention to her needs!
Last comment: her stopping her treatment suddenly can cause refractory symptoms. Super powered steroids can definitely cause psoriasis to re-flare up once you stop and that may be why everything ended up so bad for her.
when I used to relax my hair the flakes and inflammation looked just like that. I when to dermatogist, was diagnosed, used the medication and shampoo and was told to stop the perms. and voila! No more of that mess you see on the video.
I was the opposite, I've never gone back to relaxers but it seems like the lye in the relaxer was eating the dermatitis.... I have more flare ups and scales being natural than I ever had before 😭

My scalp is like this a put tea tree oil in my shampoo but everyone has their own remedies. It was nice to hear other suggestions, especially from a professional
You can buy shampoo with tea tree already in it. I use paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo for my scalp psoriasis. I put a hair mask on the area at night.
Yes. The tree oil is good alternative for an over-the-counter remedy for dandruff...
Tea oil is good psoriasis my daughter has it very bad.
I had terrible scalp when I was a kid. My mom would lather my head with coconut oil mixed with salt everyday before I sleep. We also use coconut as hair mask twice a week (thank god we have coconut trees) and also scrub my scalp with lime once a week. I never had problems anymore till now. My hair is thick and shining too. You were so gentle with her hair and scalp. The end result was a reflection of your skill and patience. I also suffer from psoriasis and have for many years. It has improved immensely as I do not allow anyone to wash or style my hair. As my temples are beginning to grey, I have started to use henna, which is 100% natural. I love your videos and how you educate your client. Also, I totally empathize with her, as I too suffer from psoriasis and I’ve had severe flair up such as hers. My dermatologist prescribed Stelara, which is an autoimmune injection that I injection every 3 months. I pray that she gets some relief soon.
Now that's talented cosmetogist !great results 🤗
Beautiful work! This is the first video I’ve seen of yours and it’s so good! I learned more from a 45 minute video than I did from a year in cosmetology school...
She seems like the sweetest woman, and you do such good, professional work!
