You are one of the few that truly has psoriasis. It makes me wince every time I see you lift or dig into a patch and pull out a pile of flakes leaving behind the red open sore. I feel the pain you go through. My ex-wife has it severely and I had to sit and clean her scalp about every two weeks especially if she had a hair appointment. Her flakes would build up really large and sometimes I would do this either dry or after a shower to soften them. I just hope you don’t suffer and at some point get the injections that will reduce them. BTW I do miss the scratching but that’s about it! 😆 Take care and God Bless! 😁

Hi, dermatologist here. Although you are not a patient of mine, I encourage you to talk to your doctor about Fluocinolone Acetonide, also called derma-smooth. It is a topical solution that you apply and leave in overnight. I have had many patients with scalp psoriasis, even worse than yours, and this medication is great. For you I would recommend you also use either a prescription shampoo or an over the counter such as MG 217, it has the highest percentage of coal tar. Take care of yourself.

wouldn’t also a biological drug be good? This looks like possibly also psoriasis which isn’t that linked to rheumatology conditions like arthritis? I have ankylosing spondylitis and some of my family suffer from psoriasis and I’ve been told both are linked. Especially seen as though her hair appears to have thinned out which happens with scalp psoriasis.

Your flakes are amazing 😍😍 but I can’t imagine how hard it would be to deal with this. I am so glad you said the scratching doesn’t hurt. Your poor scalp looks so red and tender.

When my two children were newborns, they had a small bit of cradle-cap. A very small part of me would have enjoyed scratching their scalps a little more but they didn’t have it bad at all. The other much bigger part of me was happy that they didn’t have any problematic conditions as children, even harmless cradle-cap. I used a little oil on their scalps and using one of those very soft baby brushes, I gently scuffed up the bit of scales they had and after a few days, their cradle-cap was entirely gone. Now that their 13 and 12, it’s blackheads that I look for, lol. But they won’t let me get near them with my pincers, hahaha

You have fab flakes& I love the colour of your hair. Please if you can, section hair of then part hair as you go from left to right etc. It just seems a bit jumbled just now. Thanks for putting up the video & sorry you have this skin complaint. My Mum had the same & I use to sit with her and scratch then moisturise the scalp for her. Usually by the end she would be nodding off 😴💜

My dear lady... I am so sorry that you have this condition. Psoriasis is terrible. I have psoriasis as well, mostly in my scalp back ears and really bad nails, but it's not that bad. My main problem is the terrible arthritis that comes with it! I've had mostly central disease in my shoulders, knees, hips spine and neck. I've had 20 surgeries, and 4 joint replacements (hips and knees). The spinal arthritis is "ankylosing spondylitis" or "bamboo spine disease" and it makes moving REALLY hard. I was on MTX, biologics (orencia, Enbrel, Humira and others) and they helped TREMENDOUSLY, however I developed aggressive malignant melanoma and can no longer take them. They work great, but you need to be careful and be monitored. I wish you well, and will say prayers that your condition improves and GOES AWAY! You seem well-grounded and very resilient. Very few people are as strong as you! You're awesome!

    Great video :)
My suggestions for what they are worth.
    1. Always scratch with oil. Your scalp is way too sensitive for dry scratching.
    2. Use hair ties and clips to section out your hair to focus on one section at a time and be able to do a full head scratch.
    3. Longer full scratch videos 3❤️
    4. Getting someone to help with the areas you can't reach.
    Anyway thats all. Very relaxing
