I think bringing the Emperor back for the express purpose of limiting his options will feel like a betrayal to the Lion. The Emperor can do as he pleases and it’s up to the Sons to facilitate him not maneuver him.
In the old fluff; a person had to show the ruinus powers that they were worthy of a boon. and the more boons acquired the closer to being bestowed the daemon prince. I know I could be reading way too much into it but I think how Lion reacted to finding out G-Man was alive hits that their reunion will not be hostile. Lion specifically said G-Man’s first name when he heard he was alive, not his last. To me at least that showed a brotherly bond of love and respect that Lion genuinely wants to connect with.
I can see Guilleman utilizing the imperiums faith from a distance. I don’t see him calling down miracles, but I can see him stoking that among those who actually believe it
Will we see the inevitable defeat of the Great Devourer being used as an excuse to weaken the western part of the Imperium so that Chaos can launch an attack aimed at Terra itself? ...maybe culminating in a huge siege? ...ending with the return of another primarch (...Vulcan???...), maybe...
Meh, give me civil war between Sanctus and Nihilus, that would be so much more cool than same ol, same ol, siege, terra, etc.etc.etc. We know terra cant fall, so siege is worthless plotline.

While not outright using faith, I think both primarchs will at least make use of its effects where possible. If certain ammunition happens to be even more effective just from having been blessed, they'll make use of that and allow the blessings to continue. If certain troops seem to be unnaturally durable seemingly due to their faith, those troops will be more effective so will be made use of in tougher battles and their faith will be permitted to continue. Plus they learned from the mistakes of the past when they banned psykers and librarians only to then face daemons and find the very weapon they banned was not only being used effectively against them, but was also the best weapon to fight back against the daemons. Sometimes the best way to beat someone is to use their own weapons against them and right now getting rid of faith in the Emperor would be an act of disarmament.
The Emperor was telling the truth when he said he wasn't a god, 10 thousand years of galaxy wide worship as a god has empowered him to assend to god hood. Or at least allowed him to use that worship and sacrifices made in his name to use the powers of the warp in the same way the Chaos "gods" do .
I think even that was a lie. I think the Emperor has been a god since the moment of his birth but has most of his existence bern something similar to a minor eldar god or ironically more like a c’tan. After ten thousand years though? He is now more like Gork and Mork and the Four.

He could make a logical conclusion that belief in a thing, (faith is just a fancy word) will make something true, especially for a warp being. And the Emperor is a warp being. You don't have to believe in a god to believe that the warp is fucked up
It would be funny, if the Emperor comes back to life, and accept his role as a god. It is not what he wanted. It is not what he planned to do, but the faith of the Imperium elevated him to this state, and now he will take responsibility.
It would be mega-hilarious and cool AF at the same time. Emperor did not have any faith or trust that humanity religion would not destroy them, but not only he would be proven wrong, but he was saved exactly by everything he stood against.
Yeah, but he wouldn't be a warp entity anchored to the Golden Throne able to project his gaze galaxy-wide (currently both actively and passively throughout Imperium Sanctus and only actively throughout Imperium Nihilus). He wouldn't require the constant sacrifice of psykers and consumption of faith to keep him alive. There are several theories that in his corporeal form he is restricted to more "Human" behavior.
@@Runenschuppe I always found it funny, how a being able to stand off or make deals with warp entities that are beyond almost anyone in the galaxy, having lived for millennia, and visibly having semi-godlike powers, would be silly enough to think that he does not inspire godlike devotion and admiration.

If I recall correctly he was pretty much on the side of if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it must be a duck in regards to his father. They already said in this exact book that faith is humanities greatest. The eldar stated that everyone believing he is a god does indeed reflect on the warp. That the galaxy is tied to humanities choice. Big E worship takes away from the chaos beings and empowers himself. You can’t proclaim to be a god because people will deny and say you are power hungry. Malcador already stated in the siege books that the big E made contingencies and that faith is also humanity greatest weapon. We are all familiar with the story of Jesus. Denied being more than a man, chastised anyone for saying he was something more and humble. Hint hint hint
Tbf the Imperial Truth was as much as religion as the Imperial Creed, maybe the Emperor's plan was to make the Imperial Truth a warp being that equalled the Chaos Gods, to protect humanity
Guilliman is disgusted but the survival of the imperium is desperate and the undeniable evidence of the emperor divinity. He have no choice to be practical on these 2 counts
I'm getting tired of this "the Emperor will turn into a god and.." not acknowledging the Emperor as a God already is heresy. This "Guilliman will harness the faith..." That current lack of faith is Heresy. The Lion not being on board with the Emperor's divinity, heresy. The Emperor denying his divinity, not heresy because The Emperor of Mankind can do whatever he wants. So much heresy on this channel (stares inquisitorially) 😊.
The deity debate on the emperor have came down to semantics. To me the emperor tics all boxes for being considered a god. He may not be all mighty, but omniscience and omnipotence are requisitions of the christian god. The Greek, roman, vikings and most other deities didn't had such powers. And the emperor is way more powerful than a "Zeus" let's say.
This being 40K, the worst case scenario would happen. Guilliman may actually heed Daniel's words and go on a Holy crusade to fully weaponize faith to get his father going. Lion hears about it, thinks Bobby G has gone full Lorgar and opposses him. New Heresy war ensues.
He isn't a fighter, his talent was in analytics, statistics, mathematics, logistics, and administration he was an average fighter as far as primarchs go
Guilliman: “I reject the absurd notion of my father being a deity, however I WILL weaponize it!”
I still think about what Cawl the Inferior said to Guillemin at the end of Plague War. 'All Gods are threats to mankind.'

How would returning big E will remove his Godhood? it would empower the belief even more, if anything.
@@n1ghtofthedead411 Because gods have a very poor understanding of mortals? ;)
He would have to be a fool to at least not weaponize faith in the Emperor. If I recall correctly he was pretty much on the side of if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it must be a duck in regards to his father. I don't remember who he was talking to when discussing the Emperor being a god was if he is what is the implication for him and his brothers.... As an aside how many times a day do you think Roboute thinks or say " f'ing Lorgar....
Sounds like the wytch corpse wants to be the only " god " now.
I want guilliman and the lion meet and decide to retrieve sanguinius spirit from the spirit of vengance. Green walk aboard, nab spirit, leave. The ultimate kill team...
Let's goooo
If the emperor dies doesn't terra explode from vulkans bomb ?
By the Emperor. Bobby becoming Great Crusade era Lorgar in order to save the modern Imperium. Which means the next Primarch back is Lorgar shouting F U I was Right!!
So Logar was right????
If the Necrons get the Silent King, the Tyranids get the Hive Mind, then humanity can have the Emporer
He basically already is in his own way and I think the lion would agree
A Empire falls, The Republic of Primarchs rizes? 😂😂
guilliman turns into a lorgar...as he fights lorgar...and out preaches the arch heretic
Ah your favorite Primarch!
I mean the emperor is a god, probably always has been on. The real issue is if he will ever be a GOD.
The emperor didn't just revive guilliman he recreated his armour as well
His father told him he wasn’t a god, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t become one or can’t.
GW needs to bring in Logar and the Word Bearers… Logar was correct all along if the Emperor transformed into a God.
Lorgar has every right to be pissed ^^
Unlikely, unless one of them figures out Circle of Protection: Corax.
I don’t think gman will but there is another primark now so maybe the lion will and we will some conflict in idiolgy between the 2
The start of the second Heresy ...
Second like on the video 😭🎉
Guilliman is disgusted but the survival of the imperium is desperate and the undeniable evidence of the emperor divinity. He have no choice to be practical on these 2 counts
no that would be lorgar saying thoose words not guiliman he would not become like lorgar
insert Lorgar laughing emoji here.
So the whole emperor being perpetual is not common knowledge to the Primarchs.
I just find it funny in the whole atheist thing in a universe you know gods exist.
Lorgar was right all along :'(
i think the emperor will stay on the throne and the religion will grow.
This being 40K, the worst case scenario would happen. Guilliman may actually heed Daniel's words and go on a Holy crusade to fully weaponize faith to get his father going. Lion hears about it, thinks Bobby G has gone full Lorgar and opposses him. New Heresy war ensues.
Is it just me, or does Guilliman get his ass kicked alot?
He isn't a fighter, his talent was in analytics, statistics, mathematics, logistics, and administration he was an average fighter as far as primarchs go
