i have some small cracks in those wheels from surf pumping back and forth but they all still ride fine! mine were 54mm and are down to 52mm with no problems! love them for rough surfaces and cruising! still can do tech tricks on them too just no power slides or reverts!
With these wheels on, would i have to worry about small rocks when skating at full pace? i have some 60mm oj wheels on my current cruiser and it rips thru everything and I can skate without a single worry of a stone trying to knock me down
I love everything Ricta! Their wheels, their team...my favorite wheel brand! But comparing these wheels in the video to Ricta Clouds? When it comes to what the 80HD’s are made for-roughest terrain-these Spitfires are unmatched.
Devin Mcmurray no, I would definitely not buy them for street or park skating. That’s not what they were built for. These are built to have the ability to roll over the roughest terrain, like cruising down the road that’s full of cracks and bumps. The way these wheels are made, they are very “sticky”. For street and park “trick” skating, I would recommend something comparable to Ricta Naturals with a hardness of around 99a. These are definitely not the right ones for parks or that kind of skateboarding. :-)
@@caseypineda3027 not really, they are too soft too do tricks, you will eat shit alot. They are good for riding even though on the second day they got a little hole in them. I wasn't too mad because I had another board with wheels made for tricks and etc.
bro idek at this point i bought them bc where i live the roads are rough as shit and i cant roll or get speed with hard ass wheels so i decided to give these a try, im going tmrw to get my deck so I still haven’t tried these yet. i skate street all the time and i think these will do good but idk. i bought them bc i had some spitfire bigheads and some bones stf and it was super uncomfortable to get speed and do tricks. please reply and tell me if they’re good for doing tricks and shit bc tbh hard wheels aren’t cutting it for me. thank you g also nice vid
andy colberg hey buddy, you’re better off sticking to Spitfire bigheads for street. I don’t recommend Bones wheels to anyone personally, but that’s just me. Spitfires are great especially if you’re beginning. I wouldn’t skate these 80HD’s for street “trick” skating. Only for cruising.
@@skateboarder501 how abt now? Im considering getting these wheels because my wheels that i use now are too hard to cruise effectively in the streets that i live in
I have had them over a month and so far no cracks they are holding up wonderful love them. Hope they stay that way for a while. Maybe you got a bad batch?
@@tullyasha5850 I'm a newbie (I'm an old newbie i started at 32 lol) last summer. I just turned 33 last month . Anyways I wanted something that would go over really bad surfaces because I live in the Midwest . Now I'm not skating because of the snow. But when I started with these wheels last summer they were so easy to cruise in! They go fast too. I havent tried ollies yet but I think ( no sure tho) that you would need harder wheels to learn ollies ( if u are new to skateboarding) I made sure to get a really good helmut kneepads and wrist guards I don't want to injured myself too badly now that I'm old!!🤣 its so much fun tho I'm not sure why I didn't start as a teenager!

Hi, these wheels in the video are 58mm. Some random user responded to you earlier saying 54mm, and I don’t know who they are or why they responded, but they were just wrong. And I deleted their comment. Lol. But these are Spitfire 80HD 58mm wheels
@@skateboarder501 good looking, was looking at them confused. I have 54mm 80hd, I just bought them recently and was comparing them to yours and yours definitely looked bigger and wider.
Do these slide ok? Or are they a bit sticky? I have Powell bombers 85a that side almost like a hard wheel but I want something smaller than 60mm cuz I'm getting to much wheel bite and don't want bigger risers
Not very long when the video was taken. I can’t say, really, cus I’m not 100% sure. I would say less than a year at that point and only with casual skating / hill bombing

skateboarder501 have you tried bones rough riders?
Thx for the review just bought some and wanted another person input

I think a defect or just because of the weird formula they are made from. That “crack” in the wheel never became an issue.
