    I am so glad this episode finally happened. JJ is a hardcore legend and great guy. I wrote him a long letter - cheesy, I know - about the struggles I went through as a child, becoming an alcoholic, and just being spiritually and psychologically broken. He wrote back to me with tenfold the content that I wrote to him. Very nice, humble man that people can really try to emulate.

      except he was completely irrelevant to Cro Mags, he never wrote anything, no person in the band has anything to say about him. There are only two relevant members and one is Parris Mitchel and the other one is Harley Flanagan.

Around the same time I caught a DUI and my father who was a Captain in the Air Force worked out a deal with the judge for me to join the Navy. After boot camp in San Diego I came a across that same Bad Brains tape he's talking about at a little record store and loved them. I was stationed at Little Creek NAB in Norfolk. Now I'm getting into marathons/triathlons watching videos on John and I'm vegan. Small world.

    • @boo-urns3642
      @boo-urns3642 6 ปีที่แล้ว +80

      I get how you'd say that but I think you're missing the point a bit, if society doesn't take real responsibility for rehabilitating prisoners properly then once released they're much more likely to go back to crime, they're not equipped with the skills to make better choices, so it becomes a self-perpetuating cycle. This is everyone's problem, the victims of course, our communities, anyone that pays tax.. locking people up doesn't solve the deeper problems of why people commit crimes in the first place, it just creates more complicated ones.
      And then to top it off, the prisons are privately owned!? So therefore require people to commit crimes so they can make money! Totally crazy.

      I tried for 3 years vegan , I don’t know why I just can’t stick to it, even after watching documentaries even after reading so many books about. I can’t sustain it, I wish I can . If you want a good reference look up Dr Michael Greger he is vegan , or 100% plant based he too does not like to say vegan. His website is full of great references nutritionfacts.org

      there is some truth in that , but like JOE said we are babies in the world of social-media / cowboy-keyboard days where anyone from age 7 to 100 has an opinion and most want to push it down your throught .
      JUST DO WHAT YOUR BODY LIKES , LISTEN TO YOUR BODY-cells , u dont have to workout , u dont have to be Vegan , but what if you were born in 2000 ...you dont appreciate nothing compared lets say my father who grew up with no electricity and no water until he was at the age of 11 , at 15 my grand-father bouth him a Radio! not a Cassette player and this took place 60 years ago ..there are billions of people that live of 1 dollar a day. if you never left USA you just can not appreciate life , fuck goin to Jail ,go to Africa for 2 weeks and you will know what time of the day it is

    i think the bayer story that got derailed by rogan was how bayer sold antihemophiliac factor (AHF) drugs they knew were contaminated with HIV resulting in people getting AIDS. Bayer admitted to this and paid over 600 mill in the US, but many other countries were affected.

      He derailed it because he thought it was bullshit. It's not bullshit but it's not the grand conspiracy John probably thinks it is. It's not like they purposely infected a shit load of people with AIDs. It's just the medicine was made from the donors of over 10,000 people and it was made before there was a screen test available for AIDs.

      Round Earth Shill yes. Also there was no political will by the govt to enact policy or desire by the blood industry to screen individuals with risky behavior because that was seen as politically incorrect and expensive. Blood industry was making bank and politicians didn't want to be associated w gays or IV drug abusers . Risking people's lives was easier. The gay community didn't want the negative publicity around a "gay disease." I read And the Band Played On recently and it blew my mind

    John Joseph a legend.. In the description it should say JJ lead singer of Cro-Mags not just a singer in 1980's, unless himself didn't want to be connected with the band..
    All the toxic energy between Vegans and non Vegans comes from a group of vegans that try to over-educate you or simply look down at non-vegans. I met one, first he looked at my plate, than he said "do you like carrion". I thought I will beat him into the living death.. Any one who watches what you eat and how you eat should stay under the rock, no social skills and basic manners..
    Another time I met one straight edge vegan who completly did not give a fuck.. he was partying with us, I asked him some, he said I actually love when my girlfriend gets drunk or just tipsy.. In fact I also like, its a lot of fun.. I asked what if you take a sip of an alcoholic drink by accident that meant to be non- alcoholic or eat pate that meant to be vegan but it easn't.. He said fucking nothing.. who gives a shit..

    This guy is funny without even realizing it, he's a natural comedian, hahahaha! Dennis the Menace when he hit 50 years of age. He would also be a great guest for the "Church of what's happening now" Podcast with Uncle Joey by the way.
