In Germany you could wait a long time till the car goes back on a tiny road like this one. First rule for a lot of cardrivers: I am the god, the king and the master of traffic. But who says the job of a truckdriver is easy? Thx for the beautiful landscapes you show us.
I still love your time to relax segment. I am also still impressed how well you negotiate through the idiot drivers, and the narrow roads, probably built for the viking wagons of long ago.
Lol! Nah, the Scandinavians of the Viking era did not have roads by land, only walking trails. Most of the year, the ground would have been too soggy, too forested or too hilly in most of sweden to support a cart or wagon trail and there was not enough of a state to put down or maintain any proper roads until well into the 19th century. Before the railroads, most transports in Sweden was shipped on canals, rivers and along the coastline in spring, summer and autummn. Only in winter, when the lakes, rivers, streams and bogs froze over completely, could any significant loads be transported over land by sleads pulled by shaggy, stout and stubborn horses.
And my husband is laughing at me, one for saying wow really thats the main road? and 2 for slamming on my imaginary brake when the silly girl on the bycykle came out
4:40 A couple of years ago I was driving with my trusty old Volvo 240 on a very winding, hilly small dirt road in Glasriket when I had a close encounter with a fully loaded lumber truck. He came suddenly over a small hill in a bend. We both scared the shit out of each other. Despite the fact that we could see for kilometres, we had not noticed each other. I swayed to the right into the ditch and almost destroyed the underside of my motor on a very well hidden "little" piece of granite. After a thumbs up and a smile we both continued unscathed. Smiling we drove further through the beautiful Swedish landscape on the way to the next glass factory.

First dude reminds me of someone overtaking me while I was traveling in Iceland. On icelanding highways the maximum speed is like 90km/h. For most parts it is possible to drive faster than that, though. So, being there for a few days already we simply adjusted to how everyone else was driving and we where curising at a very safe speed of around 100km/h (seriously, the road was just straight ahead for many km). Suddendly we get overtaken by another car traveling at like 110km/h. Only to have the guy now in front of us continue with a speed of 101km/h. Great dude. Really great.
