Funny how you outed yourself as a train nerd! I've been driving trucks in the army and then decided to become a train driver. I still drive trucks a few times a year, it's just a hobby for me. Driving trains for a living is so much better here in Switzerland, the roads are always congested and being a truck driver on our roads must be very hard - my biggest respect to our truckers. The situation seems to be a lot different in Sweden. But I'd probably still prefer trains over trucks. The speeds, the weights, the hooooorns! ;-)

It's really an interesting and rewarding job, not for everyone, but personally I fit well into the extreme working hours (very early, very late or through the night), being lonely in the cab (well, you'll know that feeling) and other pros and cons that come with the job.
The bonus is, I bet you have never been cut off or brake checked in your train 😁

A few months ago I was watching one of your videos and I heard the song "We are Heros" ... I added it to my iTunes playlist for running the Melbourne Marathon 42km yesterday, at over 30km that song came on and so during the marathon I was thinking of your great videos and today, relaxing, I get to see a new video and Pikachu.
Funny you should mention about the Trains...... I used to be a Diesel Loco Driver many, many years ago on Rhodesia Railways! (That will tell you how long ago that was - although I was quite young - 18....!). And yes, I loved it - especially through the African bush!!!
Although back then there was always 2 of us in the Cab - I was like a Co-Driver.

It's turning Fall here in southern Indiana in the US, the colors are coming to the trees, and in some places out west in Colorado they already had a 2 foot snow! What a calamity.

Hi Andreas! I finally spotted you, Pikachu and "The invisible truck" today on October 17 at exactly 14.00 hours (2 PM). You were first in line to enter the famous roundabout north of Nya Åbron in Mölndal, I guess you exited from northbound E6. I came from the right, turned left in the roundabout towards Göteborg West. When I was to exit the roundabout at your left side, I honked my horn once. It seems you checked incoming traffic from the right and you probably did not notice me... Obviously, I drive "The invisible minivan" - a silver Honda Odyssey. :-D

1:33 honest mistake. Haven't done it yet but it's very easy to accidentally put it on the edge of the rear end of the truck and it will slide down.

I had to double-check that stopped truck, it was very anonymous and first I thought it was a Volvo Test vehicle but it was a DAF XF. The "XF" logo was where Volvo sometimes puts the text "TEST VEHICLE".

Lol, absolutely love how you hoked back at the train.
You shouldn't really do it, there are sound signals that means stuff. One short is Ok I got it/begin what you should be doing (after agreement) and if the traindriver hears a horn there could be people on the tracks signaling. (I work with trains and you can absolutely fuck up all the wheels with an emergency brake costing over a million crowns on that train to fix).
Erm... yes, right... fuck up wheels... what exactly do you work with trains, please?
@@eMMjunaYschion It doesn't matter what work he does. Emergency braking by a heavy train, especially when the brakes lock the wheels, can result in wheels that have a badly worn off side, or "square wheels" as they call it. When that happens, the wheels are to be replaced. That's a costly business.
@@Tiger313NL It does matter, since many people on the internet tend to talk about topics they don't understand, like you do right now, sorry to say it this way. Please let me clarify, I drive trains for a living. Heavy carriages usually roll in G or P braking and in those modes, they rarely even have enough power to overcome the friction and lock up. Passenger trains or very few freight trains roll in R mode and while those brakes would be capable of locking the wheels, they are always equipped with a sort of "ABS". I'm not saying it can't happen, but it will rarely happen and when it happens, it certainly does not mean replacing the wheels on the whole train. A square wheel generally has an appointment with Dr. Lathe first, they aren't just being replaced like that. I understand what OP meant with his initial comment and the possible consequences are there in theory, but: I'd never consider it an emergency when a truck horns while I'm on a train, because whistling/horning is the last way to stop a train in an emergency - there are way better methods for that. Second, even if full brakes are applied, it's unlikely that it is going to cause damage to the wheels, other than friction, heat and a lot of lost energy.

Volvo drivers, like BMW drivers, must be first on scene at the accident....
I could never drive in Sweden, your drivers are way too polite and well mannered, plus they actually know and mostly understand the road rules, and actually read the signs and obey them.
Some owner/operators here in the U.S. have train horns installed on their trucks. Also, a former neighbor had one mounted on his Ford F350 pickup.

Having two axle steering is rather normal for trucks of this kind and also on bigger busses at least here in Sweden

Great video!! Honey, you sure do need to go and find yourself some wicked horns online. lol I think a boat horn or a nice train horn would make your truck unique. The train horn comes in 3 or 4 horn sets, and they are wicked. I'm happy that you got the train driver to blow his horn. Sometimes they are the hardest to get to do that. It doesn't matter that your horn isn't as magnificent. You got the train driver to blow his. I see you have many more truckers lighting you up on the road. Now if we can just get those 4 wheel idiots to drive smarter, you'd have it made. Give Pikachu a hug from me, as he needs one after you dinged his poor lightning tail. lol Can't wait for the next one!!!!!
I don't think he got the train driver to blow the horn. At 11:01 there is a triangular black sign with white edges that means the train driver has to blow the horn for approximately 3 seconds because there's are a road crossing ahead. The yellow V sign below stands for Väg=Road.
