      When i'm running the Paasche at.. 0.20 I can get some close and fine dots (my skill level) but I noticed you still had pretty good coverage when at a moderate distance. I have cleaned the airbrush COMPLETELY and still having the same issue.. I have thinned paint further and still no luck. Still getting flecks on my normal tip Paasche despite cleaning and a complete remix of paint with more reducer. #1, do you have any input. #2 I'd love to see a video on all the problems beginners face in one place. That would be awesome. I know there are some spread amongst different videos, but a single source where I can routinely watch/reference would be great. As always, great job. Though I cannot paint tanks for AWHILE, I love to watch the artwork and process.

    Great work just wondering if your still using the battery powered airbrush compressor, if so rather than keep taking the valve connectors off you cm to attach it why not connect it to a quick release valve that way you can set it up and change airbrush.. Just an idea because I was going to pick one up for outdoor work :-)..

    • @AirbrushAsylum
      @AirbrushAsylum  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haven’t played with it for a little while but will create an artwork tutorial soon using one....I did try the quick connect but it doesn’t work with the battery unit 😞

    • @AirbrushAsylum
      @AirbrushAsylum  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No the templates just come ‘as is’ but adding reference is a great idea I’ll keep that in mind for my future stencil releases 👍🏻🤔

    Do you apply the smoke after you painted your tank, before the clear coat? Wondering if you have a time limit

  • @valtereklund1731
    @valtereklund1731 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you have a rule of thumb for thinning and air pressure? You mentioned 30/70 paint/thinner @ ~20psi for the really fine details. How thick and at what pressure do you go for the coarser work?

    How much to do that on my tanks and something similar on the fenders

    • @AirbrushAsylum
      @AirbrushAsylum  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't take on commissions anymore, however I used to charge approx $800 - 1000 per mural (around A4 size) so most bikes would cost around $3000 and up plus prep and clear.

  • @lincolnjohns1533
    @lincolnjohns1533 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey man. Just wondering about preparation of the tank. For example I've been given a black tank that's ready to go. If I were to go and do this too it, do I just give it all a light sand with 600grit, clean it and then begin painting? And then after the art work go ahead and clear? Is that your process?

    Awesome job, I hope with in the next year I'm doing tanks or hoods. I'm the person that sent you a email with the 2 pics. I have a question if you don't mind. I was airbrushing and all the sudden big shots of water came out of the gun. It ruined my art work and did it for around 15 to 20 mins off and on. I was maaddd. Also it would have little burst of paint. I was running a fine line and all the sudden it looked like I went full throttle, but I was barely on the trigger. I bought a 180$ airbrush kit 4 days ago and it came with a little compressor. Would that be my issue the compressor? It has a water filter but it's seems like a lot of water. I have 2 other compressor 33 gallan and a 20 gallon, should I run that instead of the little liter one. I know nothing about the set up and how it flows together. I was worried that the other compressors were to big and could cause damage to my seals in the gun. I don't think it's the gun because today I bought the eclipse for 160$ and it does the same thing as before. Any help would be appreciated.
    One more thing to make thin lines is it better to run low psi(18 to 20) and more reducer (65% reducer) or higher psi(30 to 35) and less reducer (30%).
