Amazing how this movie still holds up, and I'm glad it's held in high esteem today. I've watched it hundreds and hundreds of times and it never gets old.
I was 9 years old when I saw Jaws at the Jersey City State theater in NJ. When Quint spit up his blood in that close up I burst into tears. The Theater was FREEZING, and I was Freezing. That whole summer day me and My friend were playing all over Hoboken NJ and when I was told to get a jacket for the theater I said no and paid the price. But that film solidified in my tiny child brain the Trinity of Technique, Drama, Tragedy and Humor. Star Trek had done that as well and I was already a Star Trek fan if you watch Star Trek's The Doomsday Machine its actually Jaws, music and all. Love this film. God I keep expecting that Quint figure to start talking, he was my favorite character still is, My Star Trek Online character is Quint and his ship is the U.S.S. Orca.
♥️ Made the mistake of watching Part 2 first, saw Quint sat there ! Almost expecting "him" to tilt back the cap and scratch the forehead ! Great stream guys, just off to watch two shooting stars shoot past overhead the Orca.
Also guys. The cast the everything came together with the Director and the music and the 3 Bruce’s it’s a perfect storm of perfection plus the whole cast this movie can’t be beat
Hi Guys. I wish I was sitting there with you all I’m a huge fan of Jaws my dad took me on opening day and I will forever remember the night we saw it. I have been interested in Sharks from that very next day and I’m just about 2 months away from turning 57 and because of this movie I spend a lot of time reading and researching on the subject of Sharks and like you all it’s always been the Great White Shark. I can also say I have some Jaws stuff around my house as well also when we talk about the shark Bruce from Jaws it’s not just a shark but a force of nature that is like some kind of monster unlike anything any of us have ever seen before that’s what made him the monster he was and to this very day I still here that music every time I step in the water.
And have you noticed the drawing on the board is how Quint died ? You would swear that is the REAL Robert Shaw sitting there. RIP Quint. Here's to swimmin with bow legged woman. The Indianapolis speech. Here lies the body of Mary Lee died at the age of 103 for 15 years she kept her virginity. Not a bad record for this vicinity. Gold. 🤘

One of my favorite scenes is when Brody takes Hooper’s glasses and puts them in his mouth. That just shows so much camaraderie among the characters.
