Reddit has ruled out that it's an issue after the Diretide update and has nothing to do with your PC or game settings at all. Valve is just ignorant at this point and could've fixed it with a performance patch but they did not....guess they'll when there's mass decline in active players.
Hey d Same in league of legends . I'm getting even 360 at the beginning and after around 200 , on rtx 2060 laptop but still i fell The stutter. It's like I'm capp fps on 144 and drop to 136 or 140 for 1sec and i feel if, on direct x11 is a lot better but that's a beta and i can't alt tab when don't have any programs running in the background
@@justrose4905 some optimisation issue for sure bcoz all AAA title are running fine without any issues and users are trying all kinda fixes when the issue is with the game. I even reset my PC apart from 7 other fixes that I tried.

I found a way to remove dawnbreaker from main menu : right click dota in steam>browse local files>game>dota>maps>backgrounds>delete or move (hero_frontpage_dawnbreaker.vpk)

After that it started to lag every game after picking, the lag spikes before 1 minute and 30 seconds and that is every game. It lags for 5 seconds then 1 second normal then 5 seconds lag again and so on until about 2minutes. DOES ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION FOR THIS?
@@vincenzopovia5733 Yes but in a weird way. You have to do this every time you want to play dota2. Troubleshoot dota2 and it will ask "What problems do you experience?". Check the box that says "The program opens but doesn't display correctly" then click next. Another question pops-up just put a check mark on the fourth box the n click next. It will say "Test the program" , Just click that and your good to go.

for me, updating the gpu driver only makes the fps lower. i don't understand why. the best performance i get is from the gpu driver provided by the company itself

I was having this problem until a few hours, my fix was uninstall dota and install it where the ssd is, now it runs smooth without any single fps drops, it was installed in my hdd so maybe that is the reason

The problem seems to be software related, as every time the game loads an asset it chugs. Then it continues completely smoothly. Valve needs to fix their shit if I can't find a way to fix this.
happens same to me everytime i play my first game the game was so laggy and much of stuttering at the early game then going to second game or next it becomes normal again it sjust happen every my first game after turning on my laptop
When in the first game he was still smooth but when the first game was over he stuttered the time before going to the lobby and in the second game he really stuttered help!

I used to hit 120fps with max fps and now it is around 40-60fps no matter what the settings are.

after upgrading from hdd into ssd fps just drops everytime a skill is thrown
One of the way is to restart every game to solve the stuttering problem.

Type this in console: map_enable_background_maps 0. It fixes main menu fps drop but it won't remove davison and his fri
i think there is a file that can be removed to remove the anime background ill try find it and tell you if i do
