In my opinion, Ruphus is one of the best Norwegian bands of the 70s, worthy of standing in the same row with such teams as Junipher Greene, Titanic and Aunt Mary. Colored Dreams is a great song with hard rock guitar riffs, Hammond and a cool duel between Rune Sundby and vocalist Gudni Aspaas, whose vocals involuntarily evoke the famous Inga Rumpf...
Only pity is that this is from a spell of time where Gudny Aspaas wasn't with them (she was in and out of the band several times during the seventies...). It was Sylvi Lillegaard who sang for them at this point, and she doesn't hold a candle to the mighty Gudny(!).
Unfortunately the Norwegian elite looked with disgust upon the heavy rock experiments of the 70´ties Norwegian rock scene. Almost all bands were pushed to make softer and more "advanced" music, which led to the near destruction of the Norwegian rockscene. The immense pressure scared Ruphus so much that they never dared to release another heavy rock song. From then on Ruphus went on to make soft polished jazz in a complete betrayal of their fans.
Gudny Aspaas was so gorgeous..

Good performance and good vid, nice to see the Scandinavian Rock scene of the time.
Nice to see them performing!!!
VERY VERY GOOD..................................................
Gudny Aspaas Lindíssima Beautiful 😘 😉
Gudny Aspaas !!
Skammelig :)
Fully agree with you, Haakon. Nevertheless it's nice to see this and I am grateful to NRK for opening their archives to the public.
Norges beste rock-vokalist for altid!
Favorittvokalist! Aspaas, assa. Fønki.
This is giving many Jefferson Airplane vibes because the dual vocalists.
It would be really awesome if their full NRK TV performance were put back up on TH-cam. Why was it taken down?
You are right, it even has been taken down from the NRK TV archives website. But it is still available here: facebook.com/watch/?v=4125205154219221

The year after this, they put the hole show to an arena for control... (to much "hasjis and acid"")..
