    You do need to touch off on trams if you're only travelling within zone 2. Although to be fair there aren't many situations where a tourist would need to do that. Good video either way!

      They don't even analyse the Myki data on trams. That's why there is not enough and overcrowding or too many trams that are empty because they don't know where the traffic is going. Try thinking outside the square mate instead of being a sheep.

    The most important bit, fares are capped in Melbourne at $10.60 per day and our regional public transport is also part of the myki network.
    Meaning you could travel all around Melbourne and the state of Victoria (within 24 hours) and only pay $10.60

      Great if you're going long distances. Ridiculous if you're making trips less than 20km or so.

      what's bad about myki?

    • @melbourneptfootageofficial
      @melbourneptfootageofficial 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@deviousjupiter8606 It's not that it's inherantly bad, just thats its severely behind competitors like OPAL, you can't use a credit card, or top it up from an app. About the most advanced feature it has is being able to use it digitally in the PTV app, but even that has it's limitations.

      overpriced, unintuitive, was literally delivered 4 years late

      @@scagrenI can't speak for myki's unintuitiveness as I haven't used it but I fail to see how it's overpriced, being able to travel across the vast majority of the state of victoria for a maximum of 10AUD (5GBP or 6USD) is an absolute bargain. Nevermind that any spontaneous travel during a day is in effect free if you're already on the all-day fare

      @@trainjedi9651 across the state yeah, that’s a great price!

    Sydney wins again. You can you public transport in Sydney with anything. Credit cards, debit cards, opal, Apple Pay, Google pay and you can even buy from the bus driver. 😉

    If the Myki machinea were at the crown casino they'd all be in the Yarra River.
